Torquay Guest accommodation

Our stay at Linden House was first class. We were there with a large group of friends so I was able to look in all of the rooms. Without exception the accommodation is beautiful. The quality of fittings, furnishings and decor is superb. We enjoyed excellent breakfasts and were made to feel very special throughout our stay. The huge garden is a suntrap and a true asset to this 'hotel' and we spent several hours sitting out together on the steamer chairs enjoying the perfume of the flowers - Edward

Excellent Gem of a B&B. 5 star all the way. Would definitly recommend and would stay there again. Proprietors Helen and Phil are fantastic. Made you feel very welcome. On arrival we were met by Helen who showed us our room, No9. Great room, lots of windows over looking the garden, large room with lots of storage space also a safe. We stayed for one night in the Hotel Peppers in August 2009. The hotel is in a superb location being only a few minutes walk to the town centre and seafront. The hotel itself is not close to any noisy bars so we had a good nights sleep. There is only a few parking spaces at the hotel but an overflow car park about a two minutes walk away offers plenty of parking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Avenue Park. What a warm friendly welcome we had from Sandra and Keith who made us feel totally at home and gave us all the information we needed to see the local area in the short time we had. Our rooms were beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and roomy with everything we needed. The accommodation was fab! It was clean tidy and extremely spacious. The room was decorated to a very high standard, with a big bathroom. Hotel owners were more than pleasant and helpful, were really welcoming, and pleasing. We had only booked for one night and when we left in the morning after a top class breakfast we were still debating coming home for my partners work, but we decided it was so brilliant that we wanted to stay on. We have stayed in many hotels and B&B's around the UK and the Cleveland is definitely up there with the best. Driving up to the Hotel, we were pleased to see that the garden was very well kept and there were some lovely hanging baskets and beautiful Bonsai trees, all looking very heathly and well looked after. A good omen for the rest of the hotel? Yes! The owners of the Cleveland, Jane and Wayne, went out of their way to make us feel welcome. There is a bar/lounge area, where you can sit - Steve

My partner and I have just returned from a 3 night stay and found this hotel to be lovely. As with most hotels there is good and bad but in this case the good far out weighs any bad. Both Simon and his wife were very welcoming. The room (7 - top floor) was a good size and en suite, although on the small side was perfectly adequate with very good shower. The double bed was very comfortable and even though we are used to a king size, slept perfectly well in it. TV with Freeview provided. Breakfast - Eric

My partner and I arrived at the beautiful hotel to be greeted by Chris and Robert who were lovely, very friendly and helpful. This is rather an odd review in many ways to write as my partner and I only enjoyed a very short stay at the Haytor. Through my own massive ineptitude I had reserved the stunning Queen Anne room a full two weeks later than the date of our arrival! Chris and Robert were needlessly apologetic and told us that they were fully booked for the duration of our stay. They then - Pauline

We arrived at the hotel to a warm welcome with tea/coffee and cosy chat about the hotel. This made everyone feel at ease instantly. From then on we experienced nothing but polite and warm hospitality and efficiency. The hotel is situated close to the seafront - about ten minutes walk - with a seaview from the garden where extra seating is available to enjoy a quiet drink and chat. Found The Parks on the internet and booked a last minute week's holiday. From the moment i spoke to Tim & Sarah to confirm availability i knew it was going to be good! Nothing but praise from our family for how well Tim & Sarah run their guest house. Lovely quiet location, yet only 10 minute's level walk to sea front and marina. Excellent full english breakfast started the day off perfectly. Kids loved the heated swimming pool. We look forward to our next stay at The Parks! Best Wis - Stephen
