Torquay Swimming Pool Hotels

The hotel is a 5/10 minute bus ride from the town/sea front. The rooms are a nice size and the food of good quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Jade! The leisure facilities were good although the indoor pool is very very warm!!!! Cannot take drinks to the outside pool which is a bit of a shame as on a nice sunny day it would be nice to sit by the pool and have a drink. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a quality stay at a bargain price! - Kevin

We drove to the Torquay area having made no bookings. Thus we were passing trade and had never heard or been in the Hotel prior. On arrival we were greeted by and efficent and friendly receptionist who gave us a Sea facing family room for £110 per night. We booked for 3 nights. The room was spacious and had a large 6 foot bed and a room with twin beds and a small sitting area. The views were amazing and you could hear the waves crashing on the rocks and beach near by. I had a really lovely stay at the Imperial and....we also had excellent weather! Everything about the hotel was fine. The location perfect,the room was lovely- a twin deluxe sea view. The balconies are really large and the views are wonderful. All in all I could not fault this hotel,and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly which is not always the case these days. The hotel had functions on both nights we were there, and it was very very busy,but the staff remained efficient and friend - Robert

Reading some the other reviews, I reckon there must be TWO Richmond Hotels in Torquay. This one could not have been better: Beautiful, spacious room; wonderful view; friendly, efficient staff; everything was clean - totally spotless; excellent breakfast; great value. We will definttely stay here again. - Cherry

I stayed at the Bancourt for my friends wedding reception which was held there. The room was very comfortable and clean. The swimming pool was closed which was disappointing. The wedding reception was excellent everyone had a great time and the hotel staff were exceptional!!! They set the room up nicely and catered for everyones need. I will definately go back to the Bancourt when staying in Torquay in the future. Excellent value for money! - Stephen

This hotel was really nice. I stayed here with 5 other friends for a weekend. Me and the person i shared room with had the biggest room. It was clean, tidy and we had a outside area where we could go to one of our friends rooms. When we arrived they said that the rooms where not ready but we were fine by that, the lady said to go look around, we did and thought it was really nice with looks of nice things that made it look posh. :P You could easily get lost in this place.. we stayed for £55 a ro - William

We stayed 7th - 9th Aug '09 We won the weekend from filling out a questionaire on a previous weekend. Our stay was excellent, room was a larger one with lovely decor. Very clean. Staff were all really friendly, helpfull and polite. Food was great. We used the outdoor pool even though the weather was not brilliant, it was really warm, could have stayed in there all day! We felt that although parts of the hotel are in need of decoration, renovation, the hotel is definitely improving. Will definite - Yasene

I stayed at the Crofton House Hotel with a group of friends and had the most wonderful time. There were several vegetarians and a vegan in our group and the chef provided an excellent range of food for all of us. All the staff were efficient and courteous and the owners bent over backwards to make our stay memorable. And who could forget the inimitable Marcel who provided such stunning entertainment on our first night that we asked that he be rebooked the following night? I would definitely retu - Stephen

We stay at the rainbow from 26th oct till 30th oct with national holidays, We got a super deal so couldnt request a family room, our son and daughter was in one room and we where in another, i think we both got family rooms because we had double single and bunkbeds in 1 room and double and 2 singles in other, the roomes where very spacious and the maids came in every day and cleaned the rooms and made the beds, if you leave the towels on floor they change them, we had problem withone of the room - William
