Torquay Gay Friendly Hotels

we booked after finding the hotel on the internet.Jeff was very helpful whilst we booked and met us with Sandra and Maddie on our arrival with a welcoming pot of tea in the residents lounge,which was superb for a quiet moment if you wanted one at any time.The family room was clean,spacious and the cjildrens room of equal quality.Everything you needed was in the room and an irioning board and hair dryer on the landing for communal use.Breakfast really did set us up for the day.On offer daily was - Wayne

Stayed with Kate and Ed last week. Had a fab front room that you could lay in bed and see the coast and the next town with lights on after dark. We arrived late and Kate made us a delicious homecooked meal which we needed after a six hour drive.We had other evening meals as well all superb and beautifully cooked. All staff were friendly and hard working and nothing was too much trouble.Ed introduced my husband to a bottle of local wine which he has raved about ever since !! Breakfast filled us u - Geoff

Position was good - 5 to 10 mins walking distance to local restaurants, the beach and centre of town. The room (we were in the large double) was lovely - very clean and fresh, "English" furnishings, very comfortable with thoughtful touches and room to put everything. Windows can open for breezes. It was by far the best value room we had on our holiday. Breakfast - the best English one we had all trip. Also offers a Scandinavian style breakfast which is a bonus. But the very best thi - Linda

Torquay is a long town and Babbacombe an area to the east of the centre. Good links, however, make access to the whole area an easy process. Babbacombe Guest House is no architectural beauty but once inside that ceases to be of importance as the welcome is very friendly and the whole establishment spotless. I guess our room was much as the others, not large but in very good order and with a clever use of space. Despite the busy road we found it quiet both from external and internal disturbance. - Alan

We stayed for one night in the Hotel Peppers in August 2009. The hotel is in a superb location being only a few minutes walk to the town centre and seafront. The hotel itself is not close to any noisy bars so we had a good nights sleep. There is only a few parking spaces at the hotel but an overflow car park about a two minutes walk away offers plenty of parking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Avenue Park. What a warm friendly welcome we had from Sandra and Keith who made us feel totally at home and gave us all the information we needed to see the local area in the short time we had. Our rooms were beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and roomy with everything we needed. The food was delicious and we really looked forward to our breakfasts which were excellent and very tasty, really setting us up for the whole day. Avenue Park is - Carl

Found The Parks on the internet and booked a last minute week's holiday. From the moment i spoke to Tim & Sarah to confirm availability i knew it was going to be good! Nothing but praise from our family for how well Tim & Sarah run their guest house. Lovely quiet location, yet only 10 minute's level walk to sea front and marina. Excellent full english breakfast started the day off perfectly. Kids loved the heated swimming pool. We look forward to our next stay at The Parks! Best Wis - Stephen

We spent three nights here. Everything was super and the hosts couldn't be nicer. The room was very clean and the shower was great! The hotel is in a great location and can walk to everything. We really recommend staying at this hotel. Can't beat it for the price! - Alex

I felt I should add a review as we have stayed at the Colindale several times on our trips down to Torquay. We love staying with Barry, it is totally home from home. The rooms are cosy comfortable and clean, the breakfast magnificent and the welcome warm, hospitable and friendly. Forget the Imperial, if you are looking for charm and individuality the Colindale is for you. - Debbie

very comfortable room, friendly hosts who made us very welcome, very clean accommodation, lovely breakfast, bar available when you wanted it, 15 min walk to centre of torquay, so nice decided to stay for an extra night. Used the balcony/patio at the front of the hotel which was an added bonus. - Lukasz

We stayed at the Cranmore between 2nd and 5th May, we were greeted by Bev and Paul, who offered to us tea and biscuits on arrival. We arrived at 12.00 and were allowed to book in straightaway. My parents in law were given room 2 which has a four poster bed, they were absolutely delighted with this, the room overlooked the main road, b;ut it was still very quiet. We were in room 4 which has recently been refurbished. The room was at the back of the hotel and was very quiet. Room 5 has been refur - Anthony
