The beds very comfortable, breakfast very tasty and set us up for the day, quality food cooked well. We were a family with a difference i.e. an 87 year old mum with two off her six children aged 64 and 53 ! The price allowed us to visit our older brother who is very unwell. The hotel very accomodating arranging a third single bed in the room. Many thanks will definately revisit. We have just arrived back from a wonderful weekend at the Yardley Manor Hotel and had the best time! The family that own the hotel made us feel so welcome and made us feel like we'd know them for years! The hotel was clean and well looked after and the hotel breakfast was lovely! We are already looking into our next visit later in the year. Would recommend it 100%.
all reviews » We have just arrived back from a wonderful weekend at the Yardley Manor Hotel and had the best time! The family that own the hotel made us feel so welcome and made us feel like we'd know them for years! The hotel was clean and well looked after and the hotel breakfast was lovely! We are already looking into our next visit later in the year. Would recommend it 100%. We couldn't have wished for more friendly staff. Our dog was made very welcome. Would definitely use the hotel again - we always take the dog away with us as she is well behaved - it was so nice that we could have a drink in the public bar and have her with us. The bed was enormous and very comfy. Bathroom refurbished and very clean. Location was excellent. Approx 400 yards from harbour. Close to bars and restaurant. The staff were all very friendly. They couldn't do enough for you. Danny was a star. Nice bar area. the welcome was warm and friendly.and a free welcome drink in the bar was a lovely surprise.we will definitely go back again. and the breakfast was superb,as was all who work their. When we were there Three very big dogs, not on a leash, were allowed in the bar and attacked another dog, frightening my partner. The very friendly owner made apologies. Nothing. small room reflects cost old tv. The bed was uncomfortable. Leaving!. bedroom was a bit small but was a single. The windows abit frightened because of the kids but other then that nothing to complain about. Nothing really. We really enjoyed our stay and will return when hopefully work will have been done. Ongoing hotel improvement whilst understandably necessary meant the storage of furniture etc was a little off putting near the reception/public areas. better sausages for breakfast , makes a big difference. - No big issues. Toast often burnt!. hotel seemed it was having a face -lift work was in progress and cables e beer kegs to much exposed. None. Re entry late at night. On the booking form the room was stated as a Superior Double or Twin room with Sea view, Well I would not consider the room as Superior in anyway it was standard. The sea view description was misleading the only view of the sea was a small triangle of sea in the distance miles away we expected to have a view of the sea as discribed. The Hotel seemed to be going through some kind of maintance problem it was very untidy and disorganized the whole presentation was not good. When we arrived there was an old sofa and chair outside the hotel which gave a bad impression. Owner needs to keep out of bar, he knows why, and leave running to family staff who are very capable but are being hindered. Hotch potch of live music being played, too loud and not disciplined enough. Terribly uncomfortable bed. Slight hill to climb, but I didnt mind. Breakfast, toast wasnt available as stated on menu (help yourself). poor tv and wifi signal. The Yardley Manor was obviously in dire need of a makeover as paint had worn off the stairs, there was bits of sundry equipment left haphazardly, gas bottles left at in the stairwell, a smell of decay. The light over the sink did not work. We paid £65 for this hotel that was struggling to reach 1 star standard. The hotel was dirty i.e. on the window sill next to out breakfast table was a large amount of dead flys and dirt. The entrance to the restaurant was full of boxes and books and general glutter. The reception had 6/7 wardrobes dumped in it. The following day we stayed in a 4 star hotel in Salamanca (Spain) for less then we paid for the Yardly Manor and the difference between the hotels was staggering. No hot water at all ,luckily we only stayed 1 night and also there wasn't really anybody around to ask things which I thought was strange.room was nice but shower useless!. On arrival staff were arguing. Room was above bar with loud music. Walls were extremely thin we could hear talking and people going to the toilet. Decor was very shoddy. Furniture was cheap and not very sturdy. Facilities were extremely basic. Curtains were very thin. Window rattled all night, had to try and wedge paper in gaps to try to tighten it. Front door (key card) was unlocked all night. Very poor value for money. Scaffolding and paint outside one window (paint fumes in bedroom at night) Cracked window No bath mat to stand on after showering & bathroom absolutely freezing (no heating in bathroom) Not a 3* star hotel but a 0* B&B Disgusting breakfast - plate was swimming in canned tomatoe liquid, sausage not cooked properly, no option of how we wanted eggs cooked, cereal in tupperware containers, dismal selection of fruit, no yoghurt No onsite restaurant No room service (no phone in room). Dated decor, damp old smell, broken shower and water pouring through ceiling in the reception !.
