Me and my mum were staying at the tamworth arms with my 3year old twin
boys as we were taking them to thomas land in drayton manor theme park,
the location was brilliant as the theme park was only 3 mile up the
road. When booking the room I assumed it was going to be in the tamworth
arms building but when we got there it turned out where we were staying
was like a bedsit in a seperate building joined on to the back of the
pub which we all thought was great as that way we did not have to walk

Everything - it is a PROPER pub which serves basic pub grub. The food was excellent as were the staff. The room was a cottage-like room in the car park - cosy and adequate. This is a budget venue which is ideal for visiting local attractions, notably the National Memorial Arboretum. If you like staying in pubs, this is a good one.
The rooms are situated in outhouses so are just like having one's own little cottage, which was ideal for my partner who is mobility impaired.
The ensuite room itself was excellent, the staff very friendly and helpful and the food good. It was five to ten minutes walk from the town so extremely convenient.
Great pub and accommodation. Really friendly and helpful staff. Food was fantastic and freshly cooked, even on a very busy England world cup qualifier night. Room was compact but more than adequate, and the breakfast was freshly cooked to order. Will definitely stay there again.
Landlord was very welcoming and lovely. Really nice clean and modern facilities and rooms. Good choice and variety of sport on in the bar, with the landlord asking us what we would rather watch. Can't compliment The Tamworth Arms enough would highly recommend it.
I thought the whole experience was very good value for money, including
the bar menu. The staff were very helpful, and despite being very busy,
nothing was too much trouble. I was not disturbed at all by anyone
leaving the pub at closing time.

The staff of the Tamworth Arms were great, very friendly and always accommodating. The food was very good and the price was right. We would stay there again, thank you all for making us feel welcome. The Nolan's from Hamburg.
Very welcoming Pub, great food although very large portions, learnt to ask for smaller quantity :-) Good beer and great service. They even got me a bottle of wine that they didn't stock when requested. That speaks volumns.

The food was excellent and the breakfast was spot on served from 6.30 am so plenty of time b4 work !!

We took our 3 grandchildren away as we were visiting Drayton manor park. Cannot fault it staff great very friendly food was great and we thought the bar prices were ok too. We would stop there again.
The friendly staff, great food and comfortable rooms. Tamworth itself was lovely and we will definitely be back. We will alsp recommend both the area and the Tamworth arms to friends and family.
Excellent value, comfy bed & pillows, clean tidy room, good quality & quantity inclusive breakfast, free access to the cloud wifi. Close enough to town without being too busy or noisy.
The accommodation was first class, also the staff were very helpful. The situation was from our point of view great. We enjoyed our stay and will most likely be back again.

On arriving the staff (young lady).was very polite. Ask if would be having breakfast. I say no then she asked if I would like a pack lunch in stead. Which was very good.
Great location and friendly staff we were in a rush for the train so could make breakfast so the staff made her packed sandwiches great hotel would reccomend.
We had dinner , and breakfast the following morning,and both were excellent. Much better than those we had whilst staying at a hotel on the previous evening.
We found the place really nice,tidy,clean and peaceful.The staff were genuine and pleasant.The breakfast a really good value for money.

The hotel was warm and provided everything we needed. It is conveniently situated with the town centre in easy walking distance.

I would have liked one 5% real ale, but now I am being picky!.

I was a bit put off at first, as the pub was very busy. However, the
accomodation was surprisingly quiet, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay
their again.
Nothing which they could control. The lousy weather! Mind you if they
could have,I think would have tried.
Stayed in a double room above pub. It was very noisy early evening before we went out as pub was busy. Luckily pub was nearly empty by midnight when we returned so noise level ok.
Room very small and bathroom tiny!! I wouldn't want to stay more than one night in that size room....it would have made a small single room, let alone a double.
The weather....
The shower in the room was small and sometimes had a mind of its own, cold or very hot, but after a day or two you got used to that, the noise from the WC was pretty loud sometimes.

Bar a little austere, no comfy area, if I had stayed longer would have gone out to find a more relaxing bar. A tad noisy in room until bar closed. Take shampoo with you as only found soaps but still represented great value.

I would put a notice in the shower that it takes a bit longer for the hot water.
Rooms are a little small and there is noise from the kitchen until after the pub closes, but all in all it was value for what we paid.
