The staff were great and excellent customer service. Room was also nice, and both room and bathroom were really clean, we had a normal double room and it was big with good quality matching furniture. Spa downstairs was nice to have but very basic , i have stayed at hotels with nicer ones but we enjoyed it never the less. Breakfast was nice, quite a lot of choice and the resturant had a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Ladies changing room by swimming pool - small and grubby - with the floor under about 2" of water. in the bathroom i noticed areas that werent spotlessly clean - but i am fussy - i didnt get much sleep as the pipes in the room were very loud throughout the night. nothing!. Hard beds,cooked breakfast was of poor quality, having to pay £3 extra on top of high room rate to park our car. Expensive prices for food and drinks at the restaurant and bar. We didn't use the pool or jacuzzi as they weren't heated so a little disappointed, would have been nice to use the facilities. N/A. Breakfast wasn't served till later on Sunday after the clocks changed, would have been nice to have it available till 11.30 perhaps for those that needed the extra time in the morning. Restaurant menu was boring & didn't inspire us to eat-in so we went to the Beefeater, which was horrible! We would have eaten in the hotel had the menu been more varied and interesting. nothing i didn't like. Nothing (except the noisy family in the room next door). Nothing. Nothing. we have had some good bargins at this hotel,but not any more. Bedroom not cleaned well. Bit dusty and I found a pair of socks in bedside table so room not checked/cleaned properly. No biscuits in room to nibble with coffee. Not enough milk Car park view! If staying for dinner, would prefer a more intimate dining room. The swimming pool water was too cold. Tired Spa area, idle and unhelpful receptionist in Living Well Spa, murky-looking swimming pool, lack of cleaning/maintenance in this area. Would have been nice to have wifi in rooms. The parking had to pay to stay in the car park and so did my visiters, which did nit go down very well never known this before and i think they should get rid of these system its not as if shoppers or day trippers would fill the car park due to its location only those staying in the hotel would use the car park. nothing. That dogs were allowed into the hotel. The price of the drinks at the bar. bottle of water in the room was too experience. I booked the hotel because it had a pool and sauna, but I wasn't aware that it was closed for the weekend until after I had made the booking, as the information was at the bottom of the web page. The cost for a bottle of water in the room was extortionate!. Location if your not driving. having to pay £3 to park the car outside, when our total bill for one night was in excess of £140 !!. bathroom felt tired, bed was small and matress well worn, lumpy and not supportive, woke with backache. Drinks, food a bit expensive. Some meals were too expensive drinks were too expensive this took away from the otherwise excellant value we received for our rooms. nothing.
