The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The room was very clean and there were plenty of tea and coffees sachets to keep me from being parched in the hot weather. While the toilet was a very small room I was happy that at least it was en suite for my convenience. I enjoyed the friendliness and kindness of the owners. They were more than happy to answer questions about the area and to assist with locating other places, like markets, shopping centers, and ATMs. I also found it pleasurable to have a traditional breakfast each morning.

Sleeping in such a bed is always a treat. The room was cosy, clean and comfortable. The location was close to the University of Southampton, where I had business over 2 days (hence the need to stay 1 night in Southampton). I was able to borrow a hairdryer. The hotel has a lovely staff. They are friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The location is also great, it is within walking distance of the city. Not a case of didn't like, but question the suitability of positioning the tv next to shower,,, room 3, also sound echos from corridor, but on the whole a pleasant stay. The heating constantly on full blast made it uncomfortably hot. Room a bit too warm, breakfast times a bit too limited. Otherwise fine. nothing. No reason for dislikes. loud drunk people on the street at night outside the hotel. Single room is very small. Room very small Very very hot. There was nothing I found unpleasant. Nothing. stairs with luggage. Location - very noisy for quite some time after pubs shut- students I think - street side windows could do with a bit more soundproofing. Poor TV reception and had a problem with the shower - but it was okay.
