Situated in the heart of the lively market town of Selby in North Yorkshire, the Londesborough Hotel is set in a 15th Century coach house beside Selby Abbey. It consists of a large bar area, a beer garden and an adjoining nightclub.
Rooms at the Londesborough are decorated in pastel colours and some offer views of Selby Abbey. They are all equipped with an en suite bathroom, a flat-screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities.
The on-site bar and restaurant serves traditional English pub food, which features various options, including a cooked English breakfast, lighter options such as sandwiches, wraps and ciabattas and larger meals such as burgers, pies and grilled meat.
The hotel is located just a 5-minute walk from Selby Rail Station and only 300 metres from the banks of the River Ouse. The historic city of York is only 14 miles north of the hotel and the vibrant city of Leeds can be reached in less than 40 minutes by car.

Value for money. Paid much more for worse hotels.
it was comfortable,it was central to everything.
The staff were really nice and friendly.
Great food and drinks.
The staff were great and the food was really nice. Good beer garden although could do with some music outside. Selby Abbey is very picturesque.
Close to the Abbey.
A spacious, well equipped room.
Fairly convenient for travel to York.
the room was very ideal, great price.
The food in the pub was very good.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Central location.
the main area was clean and the place was convenient to what we were attending , staff were quiet nice.
The location was perfect for us as we were attending a birthday party just down the street.
Accommodating staff
Cheap, really good value breakfast.
Clean sheets and towels.
The rooms are clean and come with free view, Internet and free towels etc.
the pub its self very nice, good food and friendly service.
The staff were very friendly and it is a good location.
Sorry to say but there was nothing I liked.
size of room, overall appearance good, tv,.
Central location.
It was convenient
Hopefully the wishing well will have double rooms next time I want to spend a night in Selby.
At £40 for a single room for one night during university check in weekend it was the last resort.
I like the fact that I will never ever stay at The Londesborough again !.
Staff were lovely and very attentive.
Nothing.
Can not get parked anywhere near on a Monday due to Market.
no remote for the tv.
The rooms are not great but I have stayed in a lot worse!!! It's diffidently a young persons place if you like to party as there is no chance of getting an early night in there.
nothing.
even though its spring the heating wasnt on in the bedroom, so it was a bit chilly.
Hash browns.
Sunday night parking poor
Very noisey at night.
The noise from the nightclub next door. As we were situated at the front, and having listened until 4.30am to the shouting and carrying on, I was not impressed with the lack of speed to move people on their way.
A stuffy, warm room. Recommendation not to open windows for security reasons. Kitchen extractor fan outside.
No toilet brush.
Room not serviced on Sunday.
Rowdy revellers, and banging doors until late.
one member off the staff was very rude, im appauled.
We had a broken toilet seat that was not attended to. The bathroom was ceiling was damp and covered in mould. The window was falling apart and had been fixed with metal strips. The general appearance of the room was dirty looking.
Gambling machines in resteraunt
Food adequate bread terrible
Asked for specifics for breakfast and came swimming in unwanted baked beans. Disappointing that Selbys best location is not fitted to highest standards possible.
The hotel lost my booking and took a while to accommodate me. The room was very noisy, being above the back alley where patrons and staff came and went, or stood smoking.
food , dietry needs not available had to bring in my own milk and eat elsewhere, no fridge in room, no bulb in left bedside locker, ledge outside window covered with beer cans and fag butts,.
Our room was right next to the main street which was very noisy on a Saturday night, do not stay in room 3 if u want to sleep before 4am!
Also for the price, I would've expected breakfast to be included considering the below average standard of the rooms.
The hotel is above a pub attached to a nightclub and right on the market square so very noisy until about 3am.
The evening meals are heated with a microwave so part cold/part hot = food poisoning.
Rooms are in a bad state of repair.
Heated towel rail on all the time.
The room is very hot and is above the kitchen so it smelt like a takeaway. The decor is a little tired though for the money that isn't as much of an issue.
rooms need totaly upgrading, very poor decor, only in need of lick of paint bit of nice wallpaper, new onsuites and new beds bedding, doesnt cost alot considering amount charged, would get alot more customers return if this was done.
The lights in the room didn't work properly and the bathroom shower was very old and dirty and needed replacing in fact the whole room needed a revamp.
The Hotel inspector would have had a field day if she had stayed there.
Room was too warm. It was also noisy due to large ventilation fan outside the window. Unable to open window due to noise from fan and drunken smokers outside. Noise from door slamming below.
stained carpets, crisps from previous guests on floor near edge of bed, filthy expelair and light above wash basin, silicone all round bath and flooring unprofessionally applied wardrobe door falling off and beer glasses outside room.no heating, and shower pressure unuseable above waist height.
Room very stuffy with no working temperature control. Nineteen dead wasps on the windowsill, so the room had not been cleaned properly since the previous guest.
It was very noisy did not get to sleep till five in the morning shower did not work a drunk a sleep in the hallway bad language and drunks inside and outside till five in the morning will not recommend it to any one.
It was noisy
an alarm kept going off
the toilet wouldn't flush
the tv had no remote
the teabags were just dumped on a dish no cover - no idea how long they had been there
there was no one around to discuss this with when we checked out the girl I handed the key to just smiled when I asked if any mgt around.
I did not like the fact that a member of staff was still lying in the bed when I arrived having slept there the night be for. The staff had not checked or cleaned the room and 'matt' was still asleep IN THE BED when we walked in. The staff weren't particularly perturbed and said' just kick him out' A disgraceful hotel and staff. would not recommend to anyone.
What a rip off ! £60 a night for a filthy, dirty, run down family room.
Cold shower only. Music and gangs outside until 3.30 am on a Thursday.
Car park too small, had to park in public car park.
Rooms were dilapidated. Furniture was falling to bits and every floor board creaked with age.
