The location is fantastic, set on a minute working harbour with tall ships. The restaurant had excellent food and a reasonable wine list list. Lovely friendly staff. Immaculate rooms. Tea and coffee making facilities were great. Great views, Excellent staff, Great Beer and amazing food. Visiting Lost Gardens of Heligan. The friendliness of the staff throughout the hotel. The variety of meal options in the restaurant , bar and bistro. The superb location at the harbour entrance. the excellent quality of the grill breakfasts. Well signed routes within the hotel. Very friendly staff. Location next to the harbour, good food and nice well equipped room. The hotel was in a good location with lovely views over the sea.the food was brilliant. The warm and friendly welcome and the helpful and polite staff. Location and Restaurant. Clean and comfortable room. Location. The staff were all very helpful and accommodating. The location overlooking the harbour was very pretty. The excellent views of the harbour and the breakfast. The friendly staff and excellent food. location. The location was great, right on the edge of the sea and also there was a regatta at the time which was fun. The people are very friendly in the area of Charlestown and even though it was a small place there were some lovely little pubs to eat and drink in.A friendly lady in charge of breakfast, good location, good food, clean. The hotels location and the view from the upper priced rooms was excellent.Struggling to find criticisms: tio pepe sherry was not chilled, fan in bathroon was very noisy and ran for a long time after light switch-off. A bit noisy on Friday and Saturday nights, but that was not a problem to us. I stress that there was a band playing (I Think) in the Harbourside Inn, but, all was quiet after midnight.Lack of adjacent parking facilities and restrictions when dropping off luggage. The " official " overnight parking is an agreement with a partner hotel some 400 metres up a hill. Not very convenient in wet cornish weather !. Noise from the refrigeration and cooling equipment. However the room was rather small for £95 a night. The bed was too soft. The system at reception was not inviting: everthing was only explained when I directly asked.Rather small room located in a connected annex above an adjacent bar - the noise every evening was dissapointing and the group on Saturday meant we had to leave our room. shabby interior in places. Not particularly, we only had a small window in the room and no air con but for the price we paid it was fine. More expensive rooms had better views so that is available if you want it. Extractor fan broken, tiles curling in bathroom, toilet seat brokenon one side, no controller for sky tv, could feel matress springs, noisy outside.Having to complain about the level of heating in the room, cleanliness and condition of the bed/matress. For the rates charged (£95/night) you would expect every room to be of a reasonably high standard, not the very basic as was experienced.
