    From the moment we arrived we were given a warm, cheerful and friendly welcome. And this attitude continued throughout our stay by all the staff - in fact I don't think we ever saw any of them without a cheerful smile and greeting - led by Chris, the manager, who always had time to chat but at the same time maintained a trained and watchful eye o... what people say » n all the guests to ensure we all had great service. Our room was extremely comfortable and well presented, and was equally well presented every eve - it was our second stay we like the tastefully decorated rooms which are very clean and have good facilities such as Wi-Fi flat screen tv and good quality coffee. the staff are friendly and efficient. The restaurant food is excellent and breakfast menu provides a good variety. I particularly liked the eggs benedict. The inglenook fire place in the bar gives a cosy feel on chilly winter days.

Stone Manor had a lovely "feel" about it a welcoming and well maintained old black and white manor house. We only had breakfast over our 2-day stay but the food was excellent, with alternative options available on request. Nothing seemed too much trouble!

    We stay at two or three B & B’s every year and this is the best one we have ever stayed at. The rooms were clean and decorated in a way that it felt like a home from home. You had free range of the kitchen if you wanted to prepare your own food as well having the option of using the living rooms to relax in after a long tiring day out explor... what people say » ing the area. The rooms were light and with plenty of room. One room is available if you wish to bring your dog which is always nice. As soon as we - We stayed in the self-contained flat which was outstanding value for a family of four. My two sons (aged 8 and 10) loved the space and freedom of the flat and the gardens. My husband and I did not have to worry about them waking up early and disturbing other guests or even dressing for breakfast! Having our own kitchen meant that we were able to cook a simple late supper without dragging the children out to find a restaurant. All in all, a real home from home.

    The setting is stunning, and although the hotel is on a main road, it is quite quiet, and what road noise there is, does not seem to penetrate into the hotel.     Before we even arrived Steph and Tony were looking to our needs to make this a really enjoyable stay, with special care taken to give us the sort of bedding we prefer. Their helpfulness seemed to know no bounds, even to arranging an emergency appointment with a local dentist. The area is beautiful. As well as an excellent breakfast each morning, evening meals of goo - Beautiful views and very private. Extremely clean and comfortable, modern, safe and quiet. All mod con's, even an iron and ironing board. So thoughtful of owners to leave bread, milk, juice, cookies, tea, coffee & hot chocolate, very much appreciated after a long journey with children. Lovely toiletries and towels too! Really enjoyed our stay and if in the area again would definitely stay here. Owners are a delight to deal with!

    We had a very warm welcome, and even the offer of a meal, as we were too tired to go out on arrival. Our bedroom and bathroom were both very beautifully appointed and comfortable. After an excellent breakfast, we were reluctant to leave the tranquillity of the Post House and its beautiful setting, and our genial hosts. - Lola and James were extre... what people say » mely welcoming and helpful. Breakfast will keep you going for most of the day after you have had it and the coffee is really nice (Forgot again to ask what type it was!!!)
