    Friendly welcome and hospitality and easy going and professional service. The Courtyard is in a quiet rural setting, but is close to things to do and places to visit.     When we arrived,it was quite late and Perry made sure there was milk, tea and coffee. He had also got us some flap jacks for a late evening snack.     We were so impressed with our apartment, we booked an additional two nights on the tail end of our trip. Everything about the accommodation far surpassed our expectations and we will not consider staying anywhere but here when we find ourselves back in the area. - Lovely, spotless apartment.     We very much enjoyed our stay. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. At short notice, they helped us to find a local flower shop to get a bouquet of flowers for a 100 birthday. Our room was large and well equiped with comfortable bedding. The breakfast was excellent with locally sourced food. We will definitely stay there again.     We arrived late in the evening owing to no mobile signal in the area. We received a very warm welcome from Nigel. For our two days stay he was most helpful, the staff were excellent and happy in their work.     Our two rooms were adjacent in a modern purpose built group in a quiet location away from the busy A140 - which we could not hear at night. All the usual facilities were provided in the rooms and were to a good standard. Individual heating controls in the bedroom and bathroom effectively allowed comfort and warmth on a cold spring day.     I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was superb.the bed was really comfortable. The food was of a high standard.the bar had a lovely log fire and a good selection of local ales and lager all resonably priced.all in all I found it a great choice except that as I travelled by train, the nearest station darsham involve... what people say » d a £15 taxi ride but that at least was my choice.i would certainly stay there again. - we stayed in a kinda annex the room was called Southgate. It was really comfortable. There was a DVD called "Whatever happened to Dunwich" that was entertaining! The meal at night and breakfast was fabulous...and "Mine host" was helpful and friendly....Plenty of free parking and the beach 2 mins away...I'm sure we will stay again

    I needed a b & b for a family celebration. I was traveling with my mother who is 91. I requested suitable accommodation for her and we had a single room on the ground floor with a handicapped bathroom. There were doors into the garden and we were close to the dining room for an excellent breakfast. Parking was available on the property and... what people say » all in all we could not have been more comfortable. There were people staying of all ages. The house has been tastefully renovated keeping the char - Impeccably clean, tasteful, unfussy and well run, with every consideration given to providing for the comfort of guests; we saw that business people, families, a young couple, as well as us oldies were equally happy. Close to town for shops and cultural visits, but quiet location just a short drive from the coast.

    Upon arrival we were greeted by a very pleasant landlady who showed us the layout of the downstairs rooms - something that your modern day hotel doesn`t do. Our room was spacious, clean, well decorated and faced the sea. The breakfast was hearty and very well cooked. I've stayed at several hotels in Felixstowe, and the Castle Lodge is the first one that I would consider returning to. Actually, I'd go further than that. I would look forward to staying there, and next time I'd stay more than just one night. I only wish I'd discovered it years ago!
