This is a wonderful place to stay. Alistair is a wonderful host - as soon as we booked he sent us an email with videos of the guest house and surrounding area. Before we arrived he emailed to advise that a regatta was being held whilst we were there so we should probably try to book dinner in advance, he also provided a list of all the restaurants

Well designed in terms of environmental concerns, the littleblue light in the bathroom was a great idea as I like to leave a lighton when staying in a "strange" room in case I need to get up in thenight. Bedrooms recently refurbished to a great standard, especially loved the light up mirror :) The breakfast was fantastic just what you need after a great night out in Oban. The hotel is very central for everything in Oban from the great chippie to the even greater bars. Would recommend if you are staying in Oban for an event in the Gathering Halls

We went to the Rowantree for our 3rd anniversary for an overnight stay away. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food in the steakhouse (onsite) was delicious! I highly recommend the fillet steak, cooked to perfection and super tasty! They are also bike friendly, with a safe car park located at the back of the hotel (so off from the main street). It is also ideally located for walking round Oban, less than 5mins to the bay. Altogether we had a lovely time away!

The house has been renovated 2 years ago and everything looks brand new. The interior decoration is lovely practical and beautiful. The in-house restaurant is excellent. Even though the house is close to the A82 it was absolutely quiet at night and as the beds are comfortable, you can have a deep recreative sleep. Overall impression: breathtaking!
