  Rooms were as pictured on internet with fabulous views. Spacious for two people sharing with all the accessories you would need like hairdryer,iron etc.Good parking area and access to grounds for walks.Food was excellent and staff friendly and approachable. - It was a very relaxed atmosphere with pleasant, friendly staff and extremely good food. ... what people say » Hotel room was clean with a lovely comfortable bed and plenty of storage space. We fould the club house warm and inviting and the surroundings were stunning.

  Everything about it - Reception was warm and friendly - Bar service was tops and reasonably priced. Wine selection was good, attention to detail super, most of all the food was out of this world. Worthy of top chef awards. We thought all the staff paid attention to detail and worked hard to ensure you enjoyed your stay.   The family room was an excellent size with a powerful shower and three full size beds. The staff were very friendly. It was in a lovely location a few miles from Oakham. We would definitely return. - Relaxed atmosphere and friendliness of staff, nice food, clean and comfortable bedroom, easy access to local main roads.

  The location on the banks of Rutland water are unbelievable. I am a regular user of this hotel and like it so much I came back for their Christmas package in 2008; I must say that the staff are always friendly and make you feel at home.   The Whipper-In was a pleasant surprise. The room was incredibly cosy and beautifully decorated with names given not numbers.
