    The Orchid House is spotlessly clean,warm and friendly! If ever I need to stay in the area again I would most certainly return here! - If you are looking for a guest house - this is brilliant example of very friendly and comfortable guesthouse. I stayed there to perform skydive training few minutes driving from there, so it was really easy to stay. There are no big roads nearby, so it is very quiet outside. As well few minutes walk down the road great authentic british pub "Red Lion" with great food and nice service as well.

    Very Peaceful. Food was excellent and the staff were curtious and happy to help. Service and presentation of food was faultless. - Very nice hotel. Room and en-suite bathroom were warm and comfortable. Everything worked. Room service dinner was very good as was the breakfast.

    The Bear and Ragged Staff was oozing with old world charm. Log fires, exposed beams, crooked staircases - very British. The food was amazing. We ate dinner there one night and it was wonderful. Tasted home made with real local ingredients, not the usual microwaved junk most pubs serve. On our last morning we had to leave early for our flight and they bagged up a to-go breakfast for us. The room was beautiful, - This hotel is simply beautiful. The staff are fantastic, the food is very good and the rooms are simply beautiful! The location was perfect for our weekend visiting the beautiful city of Oxford followed by a Bicester shopping trip on the way home only 15 minutes from the hotel. We looked at Malmaison but thought it was too much for what it was so when we found this one at such a fab price, we booked it immediately! 15 minutes in a taxi £8-£10 to Oxtord Westside - dropped off just outside Malmai

    Very nice staff, very helpfull and enthusiastic. The evening room bed turn down service, especially topping up tea and coffee which we had used was a very nice touch. - Great surroundings, wonderfull village, very helpfull staff and a great bedroom.

    The hotel was very comfortable. I had asked for a room with a view over the countryside and was given one. We were originally given a room with an ajoining door which was noisy as we could hear the next rooms tv. I asked reception if we could move. They read my original request for a countryside view and upgraded us for free in order to do this so ... what people say » we had a four poster bed in a lovely room! - Staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Room was large, well appointed and extremely clean. I had asked for an upstairs room overlooking countryside - my request was complied with and we had a lovely view. Food was outstanding for a hotel. Breakfast plentiful, varied and extra items ordered (ie veggie sausages and smoked haddock) arrived swiftly. Dinner also excellent. - The reception staff were welcoming and friendly and we found all the staff to be smiling and helpful. Our room was very comfortable, well furnished and well decorated. Both food and service in the restaurant were excellent. The breakfast menu catered for all tastes; the food was plentiful and self service ensured we had exactly what we wanted. The dinner menu was also excellent.

    The staff was courteous and professional. The room was clean and comfortable. - It is very close to the city centre, literally over the bridge. The breakfast was really lovely and the staff in the kitchen were very nice.

    The staff at Becket was welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable and the place felt private and familiar yet was right in the thick of Oxford. Breakfast was delicious and Marie was incredibly helpful and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again mainly due to her hospitality and many offers of help well outside her position leadin... what people say » g the establishment.     The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was welcoming, the room well appointed and comfortable with the central heating being turned on when necessary. - very quiet at night, so had a good night sleep which is very rare in some hotels!

    I found the experience relaxing - travelling with my son was easy and with the facilities in the leisure centre there was a good balance with going out and then relaxing and enjoying the spa. We drove for about 50mins from London and came to such a beautiful scenery and a serene location which looked like a resort out of England. Staff were very welcoming and helpful and wow the facility was out of this world. Having free access to all the spa facility was a huge plus for me. My best friend and I plan to go back soon.

    A very warm welcome, lovely atmosphere, ideal location with the added advantage of being directed to their sister hotel to park closer to Oxford City Centre.     Most of the above - Well located on main thoroughfare in to Oxford from the north, about 15mins walk in to centre. Small / clean rooms, helpful staff and good breakfast. As good as the local competition but would be considered overpriced in most other UK towns.

    The Lakeside was well located in Oxford---within walking distance to most of the colleges, museum, etc., but outside of the hustle and bustle of Oxford proper, so was a bit more quiet. The room was very comfortable; breakfast was varied and generous. Really appreciated the central heating in the mornings and evenings and the exceptionally hot shower ! Close to city centre. We are in our 70sand we could walk there in 10 mins.
