From the time I arrived at Bay Tree House, I was readily made to feel welcome by the friendly Cleo.To my pleasant surprise,I was upgraded to a room overlooking the lake, which was great! The Guest House was very clean and comfortable and the staff couldn't do enough for you. They really go the extra mile eg: complimentary bottles of water, tea and coffee topped up during the day, chocolates at the side of the bed, turning the bed down and turning the lights on in the evening.
Even in large hotels we have not received this sort ... what people say » of attention it is more like the attention you receive on a cruise ship.

We were looked after by Valentina and Richard. They are the kindest
couple we've ever stayed with in a guest house or hotel. I'm a
coeliac and lactose intolerant and they totally took care of my needs
even making a gf carrot cake which was devine. Breakfast was fantastic,
the hotwater bottle in the bed was much appreciated after dancing on
high heels and being out in the cold weather. It was immaculate and very
comfortable, we would highly recommend it and will stay there again if

On arrival you think it looks like a bad place to leave your car. On checking in the staff show how crime in the area is much lower than the town centre. Room is big especially bathroom. The staff is friendly as well. Although the hotel are quite far from city center, the price of private taxi is so cheap, about 3 pounds to city center. That mean if you have 3 people, it will be 1 pound per person.

Exterior looked not very appealing, but the newly refurbished room I stayed in was fantastic. I loved the attention to detail and the cleanliness which I really didn't expect. Lovely pub attached to it in an urban area with tesco extra opposite and take aways down the road. I got more than I expected and so was very happy with my stay. Bargain! - ... what people say »
My first impression was negative.I was wrong.I have never felt more at home in any hotel before. The frienleness of staff and other guests, including folk in the bar area could not have been better.I was made to feel very welcome and would choose the Pineaple as my first choice hotel in future.Thank you.

Sue was an excellant friendly host. Nothing was too much trouble for
her. Room very clean, tea ,coffee readily available. My husband had the

excellant choice for our stay.Would highly recommend and would stay

Everything!! Lovely, helpful owner, Sue, couldn't have done more to make us and the other guests feel 'at home'. So much better staying in the quiet suburbs than in the city centre with buses running every eight minutes or so from right outside the house into the city centre for shopping and sightseeing. A beautiful house in a lovely location, very clean and a great breakfast!

As mentioned by others, Michael is a most attentive host. He rang me the
night before to ask if we wanted a reservation made at a local
restaurant which he did for us, then he even gave us a lift to the
restaurant. A good selection of teas in the room as well as chocolate
bars, fresh flowers and fruit. The highlight has to be the breakfast, a

We were fortunate when choosing a bed and breakfast in the West Kirby area to find Calderscroft when we were visiting Liverpool with some friends for the weekend. What we had thought of as a mere room and bed turned out to be a most wonderful experience. Calderscroft really is a boutique bed and breakfast. All the rooms are beautifully decorated and very tastefully furnished. The breakfast was a banquet. We were completely full for the rest of the day. Michael the owner is one of the most en

The Albion Guest House is absolutely lovely. It's an English-style bed and breakfast located in a totally quiet and peaceful neighborhood next to the sea.
Some rooms -and ours too- have the bathroom in common, but it's so clean that I didn't mind: I felt completely at home.
