    Location, cleanliness, facilities, everything as good as could be hoped for at this price. On-site parking a bonus, but check how to find it first ! Easy walking distance to shops and bars, roadworks are a pain, but they'll be over soon enough.     The decor was great in the hotel. Was lovely and the staff friendly and helpful. It felt tremendously homely and the bed was so comfortable. Went for the weekend ghost hunting and the hotel added to the ambience. The bath had jets in it and since Edinburgh is so hilly sorted out our weary legs. Would definately go again and recommend. Some of the reviews I had read portrayed the hotel badly, I would say totally ignore this - it is a great hotel.

    This hotel was quite the impressive stay. For the price it is comparable to hostels and bed and breakfasts (for couples). It is very clean and the staff are friendly, if albiet quirky (which makes it interesting). The included breakfast was amazing, as well as the room that hosts the breakfast.     The Hotel is spotlessly clean. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. It is very close to the city center with lots of bars and restaurants on the way in.     Absolutely wonderful place to stay!!! We came with a 4 month old, and they could not have been more accommodating! It was raining and they even lent us umbrellas for the day. The room was wonderful, clean and the staff were beyond nice. I would recommend this place to stay for anyone visiting Edinburgh. Location, Price, customer serviceand general atmosphere was more than I could have hoped for.     All our stay was perfect. The bedroom was just like the one in the pictures. Very clean and comfy. Great double bed. Perfect with tea/coffee/chocolate facilities in the room. Double glass window. Dark and thick curtain to get the room dark at night. The road workers arrived around 7.30 in the morning but we were already preparing us for breakfast (monday to frida - The Elder York Guest House is a lovely place to stay in Edinburgh! The location is excellent, walking distance to all attractions. There are road works going on, but these won't interrupt your stay and should be over soon. We were greeted on arrival in a friendly way and shown our very clean and spacious room, with bathroom ensuite. Our host offered an excellent recommendation for a pub for dinner.     the staff were very helpful. they gave us a very big room and it was on the first floor which was very helpful considering i'm pregnant and had two young children with me.there is a bar in the hotel which allowes children in it so if you fancy a drink you can relax with your children.     It is a very clean, comfortable hotel, close to the center of Edinburgh. My room was very spacious, with great bathroom. Very tasty breakfast was delivered to my room at no extra cost.     The location was perfect as we were up for the Heinken Cup rugby. Great location, for both Airport and Train. Will certainly use the hotel again - the staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was very good,the room and facilities were better than i expected and it had a car park.

    If you go to Edinburgh I really recomend you to stay on Royal Overseas League Hotel. The staff service is very kind and good facilities.. If you need to have an early breakfast there are not problem, you're going to have it on your room with all that you want to eat. I recommend the Scottish breakfast that is all included on the prize. There is a room called "Castle suite" with a marvelous sight of Edinburgh's C - -Friendly staff. -Great location- only a short walk to key places (waverley, castle, etc). -Room nicely furnished. -Extremely comfortable bed, the best nights sleep that I've had in a long time. -Nice atmosphere. -The cost to stay was the lowest that I could find in the area on that night (just £57), yet you wouldn't have thought it for how nice the place was. Because of this, I would definitely stay again and will recommend to others.

LOVED staying here! - The apartment is very located to the city center(10 mins walk). You don't need the car because evrything is at your fingertips. The place is quiet and very close to Tesco supermarket. The apartment was very clean and well provided. Good forniture and wi-fi. Car park is safe and it is near the building.
