    Breakfast was good value - just over £8 for unlimited buffet (inc. cooked breakfast) and unlimited Costa coffee. My bedroom was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. Location good - 5-7 mins walk to Princes Street and 10-15 mins walk to Royal Mile/castle. Haymarket train station 2 mins walk away - for trains to Glasgow (and to Waverley if ... what people say » you don't feel like doing the 20 min walk). Murrayfield and Tynecastle about 20 mins away by foot, if you're catching some sport while in Edinburgh. S - Fabulous hotel. Staff were great, everybody was friendly and polite and went out of their way. Location is super, 2 minutes walk from haymarket station and 15 walk into Edinburgh city centre. Buses stopped outside the hotel to go to Princes street if you didn't fancy the walk. Food was good, we had breakfast and was lovely with lots to choose from. Didn't eat there otherwise but saw the food and it looked very nice. Rooms and beds clean and comfy. Great hotel.

    Location - 15mins walk from Princes St. Cost - very reasonable for Best Western hotel. Breakfast - freshly cooked. - staff were great and room was everything we wanted wished we had stayed for 2 nights. will definitly return soon

    We were extremely surprised by the quality of the hotel considering we paid 119 for a double room. Staff were of 5* quality, attached bar is fantastic with good beer, good food and live sport on big screens. Bedrooms are great. Would not hesitate to return.     This was our first trip to Edinburgh. We were hoping to book a hotel closer to the city centre, but as ours was a last minute booking, we were limited for choice.     First of all, the location was extraordinary. The sea (Firth of Forth) is just behind the hotel and you wake up, seeing big steamships and small fisher boats on the water. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially at the restaurant. The rooms are tidy, have a huge TV, a sweet bathroom with bathtub and shower.
