    We arrived early and could book in !! So close to city centre and attractions .room HUGE more than big enough for the four of us coffee and biscuits much appreciated on cold Oct evening. Close to numerous restaurants for evening meal and it is lovely and warm on return . Clean and comfy room which is more than I bargain for. I wish Abbotsford Guest House can appear in other countries so I don't need to spend time searching for a good hotel anymore. Breakfast is nicely made. I see no drawbacks at all! Totally worth it!

    I'm on gluten free diet - had no problems whatsoever. The chef even amended the Valentine's Day menu in the Grill Room. All the staff were exceptionally helpful. The rooftop hyropool was wonderful. - The upgrade to our room was very comfortable and appreciated. The staff were all very helpfull and friendly.

    Breakfast was good value - just over £8 for unlimited buffet (inc. cooked breakfast) and unlimited Costa coffee. My bedroom was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. Location good - 5-7 mins walk to Princes Street and 10-15 mins walk to Royal Mile/castle. Murrayfield and Tynecastle about 20 mins away by foot, if you're catching some sport while in Edinburgh. S - Fabulous hotel. Staff were great, everybody was friendly and polite and went out of their way. Location is super, 2 minutes walk from haymarket station and 15 walk into Edinburgh city centre. Buses stopped outside the hotel to go to Princes street if you didn't fancy the walk. Food was good, we had breakfast and was lovely with lots to choose from. Didn't eat there otherwise but saw the food and it looked very nice. Rooms and beds clean and comfy. Great hotel.

    Great hotel with friendly staff. The family room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was superb (best porridge I've ever tasted!) Lunch was freshly prepared and good value for money.     My husband and I stayed for 3 nights and we didn't want to leave! From the time we arrived we were welcomed like family and we received excellent advice about things to do and see in Edinburgh. The room we stayed in was spacous, clean, nicely decorated and the bathroom was new with pretty tiles. The breakfasts are fantastic!     lovely apartment, very homely and well run, good breakfast provided in the aprtment, very helpfull staff, good location, we have a 5 month old boy and we walked to most attractions including the castle, shops nearby including Tesco express for grabbing food for the aprtment but have resturants right on the canal by the aprtment if you prefer. I made several calls prior the trip to ensure that we could get a high chair and cot for our baby and the staff remembered me and were very friendly. - The apartment was fantastic, equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Rooms were comfortable and clean and the kitchen was stocked with basic essentials. Parking was great too. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Would definately use this apartment/hotel complex again.

    Everything was perfect. The quiet place and the comfortable room with enough space for luggage or relaxing after a whole day out in busy Edinburgh.     This was without a doubt, one of the most enjoyable UK stays I have ever had. The hotel exceeded my expectations. Though rooms were small, they were well appointed, efficiently arranged and meticulously kept. The staff was stellar, the restaurant exceptional and the location as perfect as could be. The bed was really comfortable (and huge), the hotel is in a good location with a quiet area nearby but the main town just minutes away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
