    The location is superb and the view from our room looking downriver from the village was inspiring. We had no need of wi-fi and didn't use the fitness centre although a quick peek showed it to be of high quality.The hotel itself was a very stylish and comfortable conversion of the former not quite so "dark and satanic mill " and the Visitor centre... what people say » and Village were fascinating - Annie's Ride was one of the bestaudio-visual tours I have encountered. Robert Owen's principles should be compulsory r - We checked in to New Lanark Hotel for one night and were upgraded to one of the Waterside, two-bedroom, self-catering cottages. It was a fabulous location, right on the water. The sound of the river was constant, but a lovely and soothing sound. If you don't want to hear the water, this is not the place to be! The walks in the woods are fantastic and the whole complex is definitely worth visiting, especially with the discount for being a hotel resident. They make a real effort to be eco-con

    In one sentence, you really could not ask for more from a B&B. I travel a lot and have stayed at at least 30 different B&Bs in Britain. By leaps and bounds, this one was by far the best (well there was one other near Leeds, I might put in the same league, and wouldn't want to offend). It is run by a very warm and friendly couple. In every area, - As 2 mature gay married women, Tina & Graham were 2 of the {but professional} most friendly & sincere people one could possibly meet. Nothing was too much trouble, and the breakfast was fresh and varied. The facilities were superb. A beautiful garden one could sit in, with again, many various areas to do so. If you wanted privacy it was provided.We travelled by bus from Glasgow, direct and took 17 minutes and dropped us right outside of Azalea house. So real happy with that. If you do
