We checked in to New Lanark Hotel for one night and were upgraded to one of the Waterside, two-bedroom, self-catering cottages. It was a fabulous location, right on the water. The sound of the river was constant, but a lovely and soothing sound. If you don't want to hear the water, this is not the place to be! I love how the dakota looks it is a beautiful hotel especially the lounge reception and dining area the staff are always lovely and helpful especially tge receptionist that was on when i arrived at the hotel i think it is really good for business occassions.

After i had booked our room,i received a phone call from Gary the receptionist,who enquierd if we were part of the Wedding party that they were haveing,when we said we were not,we were givein an upgrade & room on the front of the hotel,so as not to be inconvenienced by the party,which my wife & i thot was a fine example of a hotel looking after all of their guests,& a welcome drink was a nice touch,breakfast was exllent & the evening meal was quite superb.

The marvellous Meg on reception. Could not do enough for you and she cared that you enjoyed your stay. Otherwise the hotel was much like any other Premier Inn although undergoing extension new-build which did not detract. It is set in a small but very busy area easily reached from the M74 -

Hotel was modern and the room well provided with facilities, a good bed and good bathroom. Very friendly staff and good (English) breakfast. We traveled by car (without it the hotel is not easy to reach) and choose this hotel for its location for making day trips in and around Scotland. -

Comfortable room, with plenty of room to move around. Well furnished andnice decor. Well designed in terms of environmental concerns, the littleblue light in the bathroom was a great idea as I like to leave a lighton when staying in a "strange" room in case I need to get up in thenight. Excellent breakfast, very good place for an overnight stay. -

Liked the friendly staff - receptionist told me a about the history of the hotel, bar/restaurant host went out of his way to be helpful. Overall I'm very pleased and glad we stayed there. I'd come and stay again.

The extremely helpful and pleasant mannered reception staff. The room was very well designed, great size and comfort, plus very peaceful. The distance from Glasgow may put some off, (well worth the distance), and easy access to M74 Motorway, so only 20 minutes away from Glasgow. Much more scenic and tranquil than staying in city centre.

Everything, I could not believe that I could get such a great room for such a decent price. I stayed in the Harris suite and it was awsome, the only word to describe it.

Good value for being in a city.
The premier inns are a budget chain, and that is what this place was. It was very clean, very simple. A bit spartan in its furnishings, but had the things that are needed. Delightful young lady on the front desk that handled questions about eating and internet. Biggest selling point for this hotel is the Beefeaters
