    All the staff were great very helpful from Dave the barman to josh and danila waiting staff no matter what you need was never aproblem when we checked in the booking in staff was helpful showed us around the in door pool sauna changing rooms the bar the room all very nice i think the hotel has a three star rateing i think the service you get from ... what people say » this hotel should be higher maybe four or five star rateing when i was looking around at hotels on the isle of wight there was hotel more expensive an - We thought the position if hotel good. A Little more refinement without costing much. Perhaps have have soft music playing in restaurant and bar area Attention to detail and prep with food eg no horseradish sauce and had to ask for mustard eat none offered. Cheese board bland just literally cheese and biscuits. Needed accompniments ue grapes celery and butter. Bread and butter was missing one morning and had to be fetched from sister hotel this is just poor organisation. But the staff were love

    The hotel was lovely and full of character. Our room was great, very clean and had a lovely view of the water. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast room had another lovely view out to sea. All well maintained. Yarmouth was a lot smaller than thought. We brought the car over with us which we were thankful for as you would need ... what people say » to go further afield for other attractions. But the hotel was great and we would definitely stay here again as long as the car came with us! :) - This hotel is fabulous. Very clean, beautiful linen on super comfy beds, and lots of lovely touches. Big China mugs and a teapot, soft dressing gowns, useful stash of "forgotten to pack" items, iron, mineral water and a little box of mints. I didn't eat breakfast, but others who did said it was very good. My evening meal was excellent although a bit expensive.

    The hotel / pub was excellent. We stayed in room 5 which overlooks the sea views. The room was large and had everything you would need for a short stay. We eat both nights in the bar and the food was good at reasonable prices. Breakfast was so good, one of the best we have eaten in the many many stays at hotels throughout the Uk. Well done to all ... what people say » at the hotel and keep up the good work. The hotel is in Chale very close to Blackgang Chines. If you like to go on walks along the cliffs and come bac - I really liked all of the lovely friendly staff especially the manager she was absolutely lovely and really made us welcome I wished we were staying longer at that point , they were amazing with my daughter and my boyfriends son and great with our dog. Really understanding.

    A minimalist heaven, everything was superb and the restaurant food was fantastic, compliments to the chef. The breakfast in the room option (no charge) was just great and it was a wonderful breakfast too. - Excellent dinner. Staff very attentive.

    Beautiful, quiet location high above the town of Shanklin, but only a5min walk to the middle of town and great restaurants. Hotel was clean,well presented, staff were very welcomming, helpful and a greatselection for breakfast.     A good location by the beach and easily reached by public transport or by car. We drove and parked in the hotel car park which is remote from the hotel in a key code locked compound.     it was very clean in our rooms also a lovely sea view that we asked for towels changed everyday breakfast was well organised and very polite staff come round tables to ask you if you wanted tea or coffee and toast then you helped yourself to hot breakfast or you could order omelettes or kippers when you go in all in all this is a very good hotel ... what people say » will go back to made you feel very welcome thank you for a lovely stay weather was great was hot and sunny like being abroad we stayed from 19th to 2 - My wife and I chose this hotel for a 4 nights stay based on excellent reviews, location and value for money ( discounted room price offer). We were not disappointed. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was lovely and views across the bay were great. Shanklin village is a short easy walk away, as is the beach and seafront.

    Our room was lovely, there was 7 in our party so we had three rooms, one of the rooms was a double with kitchen facilities and because no one had used it the previous night we were allowed to use it when we got there, (which was quite early in the morning) which gave us a great base, and allowed us to use facilities, which after travelling several... what people say » hours it was fab! Car park adjacent to the hotel which was great and again we were permitted to use this early too. Breakfast was great, full cooked - Wonderful,friendly professional welcome - we had stayed in several places on the Isle of Wight over the course of a week - all advertising themselves as in the same bracket - and Yelf's was the first place to tick all of the boxes. The staff are friendly and welcoming: these people really know what they are doing. Next time I would base myself at Yelf's for the whole week.
