The close proximity to the airport is great! There is an airport shuttle (for a fee) that takes you right to the door. Arrange a room with breakfast included, it's worth it. Service is well above average to say the least! The gym was well equipped for a bit of a work out before trying to get some sleep prior to the early flight the next day. You are a captive audience here, as there is nothing else around, but the hotel has plenty to offer for a short stop before continuing on your journey. Hig

Both cooked and cold buffet breakfast was really good quality. Customer Service. We arrived after midnight, whole area was cut off from mains water. Hotel provided all guests bottled water and a bucks fizz at breakfast to compensate, even though supply was reconnected by 7:30am. - A little piece of luxury in a great setting

It's location particularly; plus, it's menu;the layout of the restaurant/bar;the fact that I was allocated a twin-bedded room although booking a single (this meant I had plenty of room to relax in comfort;the warmth of the room (it was very cold outside); good lighting in my room; wonderfully quiet (I could not hear the next door guests at all);

A big plus for me personally was no radiators,instead large air conditioner that meant you chose your temperature not the hotel.
Another big plus very quiet room very well double glazed slept till 9 even though on busy road.

I had been to the Barn before for a friends' wedding, so I knew how nice it was, a little piece of olde worlde charm with cute gardens in the middle of Ruislip. Our room was perfect....lovely decor, small but perfectly formed bathroom and, considering the hotel is right next to the tube station and high street, it was lovely and peaceful......great value for money!!
