    Beautiful surroundings. Peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. A real treat. - can't fault it. a fantastic hotel in a fantastic location. the attention to detail for is great, champagn on arrival, umbrella and welly boots for country walks, loads of facilities. the complimentary wine tasting is a great way to start your evening.

    All our requirements were catered for. Early morning cup of tea and an evening meal if we wished. The breakfast was excellant and varied from day to day. I loved the peace at the farmhouse yet it was only a few miles to Tavistock. We were made so welcome. I did indulge in ordering a cream tea! Will be back again.     This was the second time staying at this hotel. The owners are friendly and courteous and the facilities are what you would expect of a hotel with a much higher star rating. We stayed in a self catering room on this occasion and found it to have everything we needed for a wonderful stay.     Good Morning. I am not prone to writing such mails but I feel I have to make some comments about a recent stay at your Cliffden Hotel in Teignmouth from Friday 19th July to Sunday 21st. I have to say that having booked the hotel through a proprietary web site, we hadn’t realised the ‘’duality of purpose of the hotel, and were a little surprised to... what people say » meet so many ‘sight impaired’ people. This letter is to convey nothing but highest praise and to say we enjoyed our all too short stay. The tariffs - After reading some of the reviews, I was a little dubious but we arrived, checked in and it was lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the room clean and well stocked - we even had a fan which was much appreciated over the very hot weekend. My husband and I are in our 50's and it was our first weekend away with our two dogs. They too were made to feel very welcome.     The hotel is in a gorgeous old building in a quiet neighberhood a bit away from the city. It has the hallmarks of past elegance but is showing its age. Depending on weather, seating was either outside on a patio or inside full glass, but both were overlooking the garden and the river. It was - The location within yards of the South West Coastal Path. Main bus route at the end of the road. Just a short 1/2 mile walk along the path opposite the hotel to the centre of Bideford. Breakfast was very good, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Cycle hire on the Tarka Trail in approx 1 mile away. The view from the bedroom and dining room over the fiver was superb.
