Room very clean, good facilities, fantastic standard of food and service in restaurant was fabulous. Nothing too much trouble. Very good value for money. - I always read reviews before booking, and I had a most enjoyable stay at a really friendly and quirky hotel, where the staff I met and dealt with were helpful, and very eager too please. I found it strange that previous reviews complained about there being no lift, and that their rooms were some way from reception - well it states that on the information page on this really interesting hotel.

  I loved the suite that we had it was first class, there are so many good points about the Birchover eg the sauna, the wonderful kitchen which is fully equipped eg the slow cooker, the fact that the we had our privacy but if we had needed any help there was always someone just a phone call away,now this what you call a truly unforgettable experie... what people say » nce. - Very clean, spacious apartment with a sauna being an added attraction. The apartments are in a good location of Derby, with a personal touch that you tend not to find in a chain run hotel! Would we use these apartments again - yes we would!

  The owner of the apartment building greeted us on arrival and showed us our apartment for our 1 week stay. The apartment was well furnished with modern appliances. The garage was inside the building and secure. The kitchen had a small hamper of useful food and drink (coffee, Tea and serials). All in all it exceeded our expectations, we have no hesitation in recommend - We (family of husband, wife and two young kids) really enjoyed our stay at Luxe Self Catering Apartments. All the amenities were close by (some within walking distance and some a few minutes drive away). It was an ideal location and a great base for Alton Towers. We will most certainly visit them again and certainly recommend them to all our friends and family. The staff went above and beyond their duty to make sure our stay was comfortable.

  Lovely location although a bit difficult to find as the road is unknown to SatNav. However, once there it is only five minutes drive from Buxton and conveniently placed to a busy shopping centre and also to a number of very beautiful routes. There is a very child friendly farm on the estate so little kids wou - We loved the warm greeting by friendly staff. The rooms were gorgeous with a large selection of hot drinks to choose from. The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries. Everything was very well kept and clean. The lounge had a bar, snooker table, games and cards for children and adults, plenty of choice of magazines and information on the local area plus comfortable sofas and armchairs to relax and enjoy the lovely view from the large window.   We liked the size of the apartment, the open fire, the fact that you could really spread and feel at home. Our daughters appreciated the WiFi! It was also great to have the kitchen and to avoid the added cost of eating out. There were other residents but, in such a solid place, we just didn't hear them.   Location, cleanliness and spaciousness of the apartment very impressive. Having stayed in holiday apartments before, it's rare to have such large separate living / dining rooms and kitchens. Bathroom facilities impressive. Location quiet yet deceptively central. On your website a previous guest (only one) had complained about the length of the beds... what people say » . I am 6ft. 1in. tall and had no difficulties. - the penthouse apartment was really nicely decorated with attention to detail shown in the vases and pictures on the walls, and it had a lovely comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. we particularly enjoyed the jaccuzzi bath and the under floor heating which really made a difference in the bathroom

  Very quiet, very contempory decor, and not disturbed at all. Freedom to collect key and leave without arrangement was great. Wireless Broadband was a real bonus, as was the coffee, milk and breakfast. Small things like dish washer tablets was also a nice touch.
