  The staff - totally professional and nothing was too much trouble, very obliging and went out of their way to give us the best possible experience. The facilities - top quality and very well designed. Excellent customer service - I found Lingwood Lodge to be very clean and comfortable, the owners/staff were very friendly which means allot when you are on your own, the room was excellent and the dining room and breakfast were very good indeed, I had stayed as a stopover on the way back from Scotland and I will certainly book another room there.   Booked through letsbookhotel.com but on arrival we found out that letsbookhotel.com did not forward our details and therefore found that there were no rooms available. The owner and manager went out of his way to find us a local B&B for the first night and luckily had a delux room available for our second night.   From the moment we arrived we were treated like old friends as opposed to guests. The hotel is a haven of peace and tranquility offering warm and very comfortable, quality interior accommodation . The menu and wine list is excellent, and the food served was high quality and very tasty.   Wonderful welcome and hospitality despite my very late unscheduled arrival. Beautifully clean and maintained rooms in a lovely location. Breakfast also excellent (you could order classic English, continental breakfast and even salmon), wi-fi, TV provided but not so interesting because nature outside is very beautiful.

  The room had an amazing view of the lake and its surroundings. It was very nicely decorated, spotlessly clean and felt very cosy and homely. The owners were very welcoming and helpful.   The suite was everything the photos and description promised it to be. The location is incredible with all of Bowness shops, pubs and fantastic restaurants at your doorstep. Also the pier to where the boat trips to the other parts of Lake Windermere was only a few minutes walk away, this meant that a car was not required for our stay at all.
