    Couldn't fault anything- staff and Hoteliers were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely and clean (with several little 'personal touches') as was the rest of the Guest House and all very tastefully decorated.     Warm and comfortable with everything we could want. Stayed in Silverdale which was large with a gorgeous bathroom and comfortable bed. Great choice for breakfast. - Friendly atmosphere created by the staff and excellent servicethroughout. Rooms are very spacious and have recently been decorated toa high standard.

    This boutique hotel is one of the best we have stayed in. It was an excellent blend of intimacy, privacy, utter quality, and yet neither snobbish or fussy. The restaurant meal was of an excellent quality which far exceeded our expectations. The location and views were magnificent.     Everything! The room and view were gorgeous, the decor and facilities well thought out and the food was beautiful. In fact, it was the first time in a long time that my husband had ordered a steak and got it cooked perfectly - first time. Nothing was too much trouble. Also the atmosphere in the hotel lounge and bar was very pleasant. All the staff were obliging and helpful. Not many hotels offer this quality of accomodation and facilities. Only thing it would be short on is maybe leasure facility like pool\sauna but guess this would make it a Hotel rather than a pub. Most pleasant and relaxing break.

    The room was quirky inasmuch that it was on two levels with a beautiful refurbished bathroom, a dressing table area and wardrobe, then up four stairs to the bedroom and sitting area. Nothing was lacking in facilities. THe restaurant and bar areas were always busy and popular with walkers and visitors to the area. I shall definitely stay at Wateredg - The Wateredge Inn is in a wonderful location right on the lake. The views out to the boats bobbing on the lake were lovely. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable as was the bathroom. The inns lounge and dining areas were very nice, with again a beautiful outlook. The two Scottish sisters who waited on us for breakfast were lovely and friendly as was Ryan the bar man. The countryside around Ambleside was really beautiful and well worth a longer visit.

    We stayed at the Hare & Hounds for three nights and had a wonderful time there. We booked the standard room which although small was very cosy, well equipped and had a great en-suite ( really good size with a very powerful shower). The Hare & Hounds is in a lovely peaceful rural location, serves delicious food in it's very popular,bar/rest... what people say » aurant (we ate there every night).and is owned and managed by Kerry and assisted by her parents and staff all of whom were always helpful, friendly an - Beautiful rooms that you wanted to spend time in. Lovely old bar that serves excellent food from a great menu. No need to use your car at all if you want peace,views, walks and good food and drink. Kerry is an excellent host - nothing's too much trouble.

    This is what we call a really nice, comfortable hotel, one in which you feel at home. Everything was perfect, and the staff are so friendly and helpful! We were sad to leave! - The staff dealt very efficiently with our wishes and gave us a very nice stay in their lovely hotel. They tried very hard to make sure everything was perfect.

    From entering the log house to leaving all the staff were very helpful and friendly.The food was delicious and the portions were plentiful.The restaurant was a delight to sit in and the bedroom had great charm with one of the biggest and most comfortable beds ever. - The Log House was superb.
