    The owners were both extremely helpful and friendly. We were contacted by phone a week before arrival to confirm that our requests for our Ruby Anniversary weekend had been met. Our room was just as the owner described and had views to die for. The food was very good, speedily prepared and well presented. The hotel location is superb and is quiet, but only 5 minutes from main roads leading to Silverdale, the Lakes and t - Warm welcome from the staff and landlord. Bar staff, waiters seemed part of a warm team enjoying their jobs. The pub/hotel is pet friendly. We had our medium sized, well-behaved dog in the bedroom, and in breakfast with us one day. The waiter helped with a bowl for leftovers/water. The hotel is in a great location overlooking the tidal Kent estuary. Good walks nearby, Leighton Moss RSPB reserve, regular train service to local stations north and south.

    We found this delightful place very near to the village center. The owner and her daughter were extremely polite, caring and helpful, on our arrival they had provided us with loads of guides and plenty of info for our hiking trip across and around the lakes. And breakfast every morning was something to look forward to at this place, most attentive... what people say » indeed. We highly recommend anyone to try them. P.S. Loved the 'honesty box/drawer', where you were asked to leave 50 pence for any mineral water bot - We had room 3 with the 4 poster bed, it was soooooo comfortable! Diane the b&b owner was very hospitable, she tailored our stay to meet our needs, my friend left her electric cigarette charger at home so Diane let us use her personal computer to charge it. Also, when we got there Diane had left leaflets and a map on our bed, this helped so much during our stay. The breakfast was nice and the location is perfect, a 5 minute walk in to the village of windemere and a 20 minute walk to bowness

    Host was very helpful and very organised. We reached very late so he passed us beforehand the door-code to get-in, told us exacly where we could park and left the guest parking ticket with date entered for each zone we could park.     We stayed in a family room and it was very clean and comfortable. Steve cooked us a fabulous English breakfast the following morning. He even carried our bags and gave the kids lollies when we left. He went the extra mile which makes a big difference when you are travelling with kids.     Personal service; beautifully renovated building in a quiet location. Stress-free. The breakfast is all fresh and local; no problem catering for my mother's gluten-free diet. - The rooms, the food, the atmosphere, and the service were all great!     The property was convenient and clean. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. The view along the park and river is beautiful. We loved it and would definitely suggest the place to others.     Nothing which I can point out to complaint abt this place. It is gorgeous hostel with the reasonable price in the best comfortable and perfect condition. It has the awesome location, a very very friendly staff. Out room is spacious and comfortable. It is easy to realize every room in this hostel is convenient too bc they have many spare shower roo... what people say » ms and toilets outside our room. Besides they also provide for guests a big and clean kitchen as well as many stuffs to cook by ourselves. It is thumb - Extemely welcoming staff. When i got delaid on the train and emailed the hostel to check they would still have someone on reception they responded straight away. Breakfast was well worth the price, it was a little noisy with kids but nothing i wouldnt have expected. My single room on the third floor was surprisingly roomy with several bathroom in the vercinity. All in all, great staff, brilliant value for money super setting (right on the lake) will deffinitely be back!

    Owners very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was comfortable and to a high standard. Breakfast excellent with wide choice. Within easy walking distance of city centre.     The journey north was oh so slow but the warden was quite happy for us to arrive after closing time, which was a great relief and we had a room to ourselves (two of us) so we could continue packing for the weekend. The bunks were very comfortable and were already made up for us. We could get a beer on arrival. There were plenty of showers and toil... what people say » ets. Very good value!!! We had sleeping bags, but bedding is in rooms - so no needed! We stayed first time in UK`s yha Hostel and we were worrying about atmosphere comparing to our polish hostels but really enjoyed!!! Lovely !!! We`ll be using yha Hostels before book any hotels from now!!!

    When we got to Lakeside House we were personally shown to our room - No 1. The room was very roomy, comfortable and nicely decorated. The bed was huge! The location was brilliant - just a short walk to the centre of Keswick. Breakfast was excellent - particularly the Eggs Benedict. All the staff were friendly and gave us good advice on places... what people say » to visit and names of good restaurants. We really enjoyed our first visit to the Lake District. - Everything! Warm and friendly, welcoming, respectful, happy and competent staff, wonderful breakfasts beautifully prepared/cooked, decor restful with warm tones modern but not clinical.     This spectacularly appointed building is set slightly above the village of Grasmere. Our welcome was warm and genuine. The room was basic, (what we expected), but suited the purpose of a clean cosy place to stay at the end of an adventurous day. The breakfast was fantastic, as were the packed lunches and evening meals. The location is just sublime... what people say » and peaceful. We will be going back again. - We travelled with a small child and were made to feel very welcome, with the travel cot set up for us on arrival. The hostel is a lovely old building in a stunning setting and a two-minute walk from the nice shops and cafes in the village. We booked dinner at short notice and were very pleased with the quality and price of the food. I can't fault anything!
