    The owners were both extremely helpful and friendly. We were contacted by phone a week before arrival to confirm that our requests for our Ruby Anniversary weekend had been met. Our room was just as the owner described and had views to die for. The food was very good, speedily prepared and well presented. Bar staff, waiters seemed part of a warm team enjoying their jobs. The pub/hotel is pet friendly. We had our medium sized, well-behaved dog in the bedroom, and in breakfast with us one day. The waiter helped with a bowl for leftovers/water. The hotel is in a great location overlooking the tidal Kent estuary. Good walks nearby, Leighton Moss RSPB reserve, regular train service to local stations north and south.

    yself and my husband and another couple stayed 1 night and chose this hotel due to the location - close to seascale but the location was beautiful the bar was a typical country inn type, the staff friendly, food was good & the Kamikazi real ale went down well. We love Country Villages we would definitely stay again. - We wanted a real good value pub as a walking base for the weekend, we found one right in the middle of the lakes. From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't do enough for us - big thanks. The food was straightforward, good quality and great value. The beer was exceptional and again great value. We loved all the fires and so did our dogs. The rooms we ok, nothing special, but clean and comfortable. We will be returning again.

    Everything. The greeting on arrival was warm and friendly and the foodsuperb. The staff were wonderful and could not do enough for you.     Reception girl was really nice, had professional approach to all my questions and tried to help me out whenever we needed..Room was really clean and free wifi was a good facility every one want to use and enjoy..,and free parking..free cancellation if u change ur plan also give u a peace of mind.. - Friendly staff, and clean room.     Very friendly and helpful staff. Close to town, within walking distance. Accommodation warm, comfortable and all facilities one would expect. Food not exceptional but tasty and well cooked.     The manager Tony was fantastic. He made us feel very welcome and was freindly.Natalier was also freindly and welcoming.The food that the head chief Sally prepared was excellent it was cooked fresh and served piping hot.     We stayed in a family room and it was very clean and comfortable. Steve cooked us a fabulous English breakfast the following morning. He even carried our bags and gave the kids lollies when we left. He went the extra mile which makes a big difference when you are travelling with kids.     Personal service; beautifully renovated building in a quiet location. Stress-free. The breakfast is all fresh and local; no problem catering for my mother's gluten-free diet. - The rooms, the food, the atmosphere, and the service were all great!     Nothing which I can point out to complaint abt this place. It is gorgeous hostel with the reasonable price in the best comfortable and perfect condition. It has the awesome location, a very very friendly staff. Out room is spacious and comfortable. It is easy to realize every room in this hostel is convenient too bc they have many spare shower roo... what people say » ms and toilets outside our room. Besides they also provide for guests a big and clean kitchen as well as many stuffs to cook by ourselves. It is thumb - Extemely welcoming staff. When i got delaid on the train and emailed the hostel to check they would still have someone on reception they responded straight away. Breakfast was well worth the price, it was a little noisy with kids but nothing i wouldnt have expected. My single room on the third floor was surprisingly roomy with several bathroom in the vercinity. All in all, great staff, brilliant value for money super setting (right on the lake) will deffinitely be back!

    We could not fault the friendliness of the staff or the facilities provided. Nothing was too much trouble and being able to have unlimited drinks (tea /coffee) in the room instead of the odd couple of sachets usually provided was really appriciated as was the fresh milk.
