Great service, staff very welcoming and great location and views. Will certainly return when next we next visit the lakes. The breakfast service was the best we have had from any hotel/guest house. The little touches and attention to detail are very noticeable and make a real difference. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was beautiful. The bar was cosy and the food good and big portions! The room was warm and comfortable. -

Friendly owner (Ian) rang us before our arrival on the day and met us as we arrived even though it was late. I stayed there for 2 nights with my frd. Ian and Lynn were very friendly and helpful. The room and the en suite bathroom are super comfortable and clean. The breakfast is also good.
The hotel locates in a tranquil block just besides a brook and is about 10 minutes walk from Windermere railway station & bus stop. To me it was not too far and there are many good gift shops on the way from the station to the hotel.
The guest house was one of the factor that makes my stay in the Lake District

The lodge in the Vale was very clean and the staff including the gorgeous dog were very helpful and friendly, the fact they didn't have facilities to cook meals didn't bother us as they recommend the pub up the road where you get 10percent off your meal if you stay at the lodge!
We loved the continental breakfast and its only ten min drive to keswick!

Everything about the guest house indicated a concern to serve the
residents to a high standard. The room was very clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was nicely prepared with plenty of main course choice. The
owners were friendly without being intrusive. The view from the rear
landing stairs, if you are on one of the upper floors, of Latrigg,
Skiddaw & Blencathra make a great start and finish to each day. And
it's only a quarter mile gentle downhill stroll into the centre of
Keswick. Five star

Staff were polite and helpful.
Room was quiet and respectful.
It represented the Lakes environment, it was a simple shelter which had the essentials and no more in a mountainous region. Thats what you want and go for, simplicity, kind of back to nature, more harmony. -

Debbie gave us a really warm welcome, and knowing we were in Carlisle for a funeral, was caring and sympathetic throughout our stay. Our room was immaculate, well presented, warm and comfortable and the breakfast was a good English, delicious and well cooked. Definitely recommended.
