    Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Had a great night sleep in comfortable room. Breakfast very good. Token given for parking which allowed us to park beside Guest House. As there was a mixup with the booking the people at the guest house simply adjusted it to match our needs. Loved that staff was firendly and made us welcome. They even kept pur belongings safe the next day, after check out while we were in town. Really nice breakfast as well. Would love to go back if in the area. Good value for money.

    What a lovely couple, Alice and David are! So welcoming and friendly. We loved staying at Cambro House and will be staying again. We would recommend it everyone. Breakfast was great, you could have whatever you wanted, the rooms were clean and comfy, your en-suite was very spacious.     The B&B is situated on a quiet lane with wonderful countryside views, and a fabulous view of Blackcombe. When you walk into the house you are greeted by a lovely reception room with a log burner and comfy seats. The owners are very friendly, and make you feel very at ease. The Fold is a small extremely well run and beautifully designed guest house. Keven and Rachelle are excellent hosts. The rooms are well appointed and make very good use of space. I am 6'4" and stayed in the smallest room and ensuite shower was still big enough for me to bathe comfortably. There was also no footboard to the bed.     We knew the distance hotel was from main tourist areas like Windermere. The hotel is down a long quiet country lane. The breakfast was "spot on". Thank you for your service. The bar is popular with other holiday makers i.e caravan and lodges and the price of the drinks were reasonable.     Friendly owner (Ian) rang us before our arrival on the day and met us as we arrived even though it was late. Ian checked what we would like for breakfast the following day (and did this each day of our stay) and gave us a map of the local area- pointing out things of interest. Quiet road and room, even when the B+B was full. Well located as only 5 mins walk into th - I stayed there for 2 nights with my frd. Ian and Lynn were very friendly and helpful. The room and the en suite bathroom are super comfortable and clean. The breakfast is also good. The hotel locates in a tranquil block just besides a brook and is about 10 minutes walk from Windermere railway station & bus stop. To me it was not too far and there are many good gift shops on the way from the station to the hotel. The guest house was one of the factor that makes my stay in the Lake District

    Very quiet and adequate. Beds clean and comfy. A lovely old house full of character which had a nice feel about it but very tired and dated. No problem with that as price was fair. Decorators were coming in as we were leaving so hotel is making effort. Wi-Fi very fast and reliable. This old building must be expensive to upkeep. - The bed was ver... what people say » y comfortable and we were given a lift to our car which was parked three miles away from the manager, Andy who was giving a site seeing tour to four ladies from oversees. Rather than catch a bus he offered to drop us off on his way. I don't think this sort of service would come from a 5 star international hotel.

    Alison was very welcoming and helpful. Just having had a foot operation she was keen to provide any help needed. The room was quiet and the bed large and comfortable. The en-suite had everything needed, with a good shower & hot water. The whole place was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was substantial and not greasy. The cooked breakfast was excellant. We were warmly welcomed, well fed and very well look after during our stay. We loved it! And excellant value for money as well.

    Staff were polite and helpful. Room was quiet and respectful. It represented the Lakes environment, it was a simple shelter which had the essentials and no more in a mountainous region.     The location was quite excellent, not far from the bus or railway station, about 10 mins walk to city center and main attraction. The breakfast is from 7 to 9 everyday and one have a great range to select. - Debbie gave us a really warm welcome, and knowing we were in Carlisle for a funeral, was caring and sympathetic throughout our stay. Our room was immaculate, well presented, warm and comfortable and the breakfast was a good English, delicious and well cooked. Definitely recommended.

    Ian was a very good host, he was friendly and informative and easy to talk to. This stay was made more enjoyable with his personal touch. He prepared delightful English & Vegetarian breakfasts for us. We loved his mushrooms and coffee. The room is small but cosy. This isn't a luxury hotel so for the price we paid, it is great value-for-money.... what people say » We all got restful sleep. The mattresses are very comfortable. All in all, the guesthouse is affordably priced. The host's attentiveness, the hearty - the owner was very friendly and welcoming, the food very good and house very comfortable. we suggested they get a visitors book, the owner said he rarely read reviews on letsbookhotel.com but we said he should! he would receive many positive comments from guests like us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
