    very English style in the neighborhood, staff is very friendly to help us locate the key, at one time we thought we lost the door key. The room is clean. - I like the place was clean and the location was perfect. Not to mention that the breakfast and the host was exceptional.

    Nothing which I can point out to complaint abt this place. It is gorgeous hostel with the reasonable price in the best comfortable and perfect condition. It has the awesome location, a very very friendly staff. Out room is spacious and comfortable. It is easy to realize every room in this hostel is convenient too bc they have many spare shower roo... what people say » ms and toilets outside our room. Besides they also provide for guests a big and clean kitchen as well as many stuffs to cook by ourselves. It is thumb - Extemely welcoming staff. When i got delaid on the train and emailed the hostel to check they would still have someone on reception they responded straight away. Breakfast was well worth the price, it was a little noisy with kids but nothing i wouldnt have expected. My single room on the third floor was surprisingly roomy with several bathroom in the vercinity. All in all, great staff, brilliant value for money super setting (right on the lake) will deffinitely be back!

    The £4.99 breakfast was fabulous as was the £9.99 two course evening meal. The setting of the hostel is superb surrounded by the Buttermere Fells and a short stroll to the Fish Inn in the village. - Great staff and all the facilities we needed (well equipped kitchen, large drying room, and enough share bathrooms).     I loved the way when I turned at reception the receptionist (Wendy) asked "have you come far today" that really was a good question for both sides to gauge how tired we actually are! I had a child asleep on my shoulder and a 5 year old on my own and was asked if I would like some help with my bags- it was great not to have to ask for help!     Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Had a great night sleep in comfortable room. Breakfast very good. Token given for parking which allowed us to park beside Guest House.     Ian was a very good host, he was friendly and informative and easy to talk to. This stay was made more enjoyable with his personal touch. He prepared delightful English & Vegetarian breakfasts for us. We loved his mushrooms and coffee. The room is small but cosy. This isn't a luxury hotel so for the price we paid, it is great value-for-money.... what people say » We all got restful sleep. The mattresses are very comfortable.     The landlady was a really nice person and very friendly. The room was good size and bed was great. Breakfast was great and we would happily go again. Only drawback was parking, but we managed.     We could not fault the friendliness of the staff or the facilities provided. Nothing was too much trouble and being able to have unlimited drinks (tea /coffee) in the room instead of the odd couple of sachets usually provided was really appriciated as was the fresh milk.     The journey north was oh so slow but the warden was quite happy for us to arrive after closing time, which was a great relief and we had a room to ourselves (two of us) so we could continue packing for the weekend. The bunks were very comfortable and were already made up for us. We could get a beer on arrival. There were plenty of showers and toil... what people say » ets. We stayed first time in UK`s yha Hostel and we were worrying about atmosphere comparing to our polish hostels but really enjoyed!!! Lovely !!! We`ll be using yha Hostels before book any hotels from now!!!

    As always a really good night's stay at a Premier Inn. You can always be assured what you get will be clean, reliable, and friendly for a great price. In this case, the front desk staff member went above and beyond in helping us get our laundry washed and dried, which was a real help a week into our vacation. - Large room, clean. Great value and ... what people say » yet comfortable. Staff was very friendly and even did some of our laundry as they did not recommend us going to a laundry as they are in an unsafe part of town.     When we got to Lakeside House we were personally shown to our room - No 1. The room was very roomy, comfortable and nicely decorated. The bed was huge! The location was brilliant - just a short walk to the centre of Keswick. Breakfast was excellent - particularly the Eggs Benedict. Warm and friendly, welcoming, respectful, happy and competent staff, wonderful breakfasts beautifully prepared/cooked, decor restful with warm tones modern but not clinical.     Excellent value for money. Exceeded our expectations for a youth hostel.......where else could you get a clean, comfortable bed and a full English breakfast for less than £30? Would have been even less if two members of our party hadn't dropped out!
