    Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Had a great night sleep in comfortable room. Breakfast very good. Token given for parking which allowed us to park beside Guest House. As there was a mixup with the booking the people at the guest house simply adjusted it to match our needs. Loved that staff was firendly and made us welcome. They even kept pur belongings safe the next day, after check out while we were in town. Really nice breakfast as well. Would love to go back if in the area. Good value for money.

    Malcolm and Jennifer could not have been more welcoming. A lovely quiet hotel a short stroll from the town centre. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the breakfasts were magnificent.     Annesdale is close to the train station and an easy walk to shops and restaurants in Windermere. The hosts of Annesdale are very friendly. We appreciated that they gave us (and our luggage) a ride to the train station. The beds are comfortable and we enjoyed our own sitting room and garden complete with a table to enjoy a quiet time outside. - W... what people say » e really liked having our own private entrance to the suite as we could come and go as we pleased.     We found this delightful place very near to the village center. The owner and her daughter were extremely polite, caring and helpful, on our arrival they had provided us with loads of guides and plenty of info for our hiking trip across and around the lakes. And breakfast every morning was something to look forward to at this place, most attentive... what people say » indeed. We highly recommend anyone to try them. P.S. Loved the 'honesty box/drawer', where you were asked to leave 50 pence for any mineral water bot - We had room 3 with the 4 poster bed, it was soooooo comfortable! Diane the b&b owner was very hospitable, she tailored our stay to meet our needs, my friend left her electric cigarette charger at home so Diane let us use her personal computer to charge it. Also, when we got there Diane had left leaflets and a map on our bed, this helped so much during our stay. The breakfast was nice and the location is perfect, a 5 minute walk in to the village of windemere and a 20 minute walk to bowness

    Excellent value for money. Exceeded our expectations for a youth hostel.......where else could you get a clean, comfortable bed and a full English breakfast for less than £30? Would have been even less if two members of our party hadn't dropped out!     The location was ideal even walking up the rather steep hill became bearable after a couple of times. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts were excellent and the owners went out of their way to welcome you and had a pleasant manner. We respected the other guests in the hotel and likewise. I understand a comment was made regarding the owners being too strict and tre - Fiona the host was very friendly and had a good knowledge of the area offering advice and tips of where to eat and giving directions to local places.     The location is right next to the Lake, and there are many good walks around.     This B&B has a wonderful location - close to town centre. The room was spacious and clean and the breakfast was great. Our hosts. Joan and Michael, were friendly and helpful.     We stayed in a camping pod for the first time for two nights, the pod was clean, and surprisingly spacious! Enough room for the airbed and bags etc. There was a small heater, lamp and 2 camping chairs. The toilets and showers were clean. One evening we stayed at the hostel and had a 3 course meal, which was tasty and good value. The lounge area... what people say » was typical YHA and clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. Only a 15 min walk into hawkshead where there is a couple of pubs and a few shops - We stayed in one of the "pods". It had lighting and heating and was very cosy to stay in. Would recommend it to anyone that is wanting to camp especially if it's getting cold out. The staff were very helpful and they have a drying room for all your wet gear. If your going to the Lake District stay here. Don't miss hard knott pass for amazing views too. It's narrow for 2 cars but it's worth the climb.

    The hotel is in an excellent location to see the Lake District. The only issue is the parking. The hotel does not own the parking lot so you must pay to use it. The lot is also rather small so you may have to park on the street and move your car by 9:00 in the morning or be ticketed. - The staff were very friendly and helpful on our arrival.     Owners welcoming and friendly. Location great and good to have parking. Room was very clean and had wifi and nice decor. Breakfast excellent.     Very friendly and comfortable, parked nearby. Easy to find and very close to busy and attractive town centre. The lake isn't far away either and very beautiful.     Wayne and Allison have only recently taken over Laurel Cottage. We would never have known this if they hadn't told us.
