The Bridge Inn is olde-worldly and extremely comfortable. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and efficient. The food served in the cosy bar/restaurant was superb and excellent value for money. A great choice of local and guest beers and very convivial atmosphere. Our first visit but certainly not our last. A pleasure to stay at the Bridge Inn. - Anonymous

As always a really good night's stay at a Premier Inn. You can always be assured what you get will be clean, reliable, and friendly for a great price. In this case, the front desk staff member went above and beyond in helping us get our laundry washed and dried, which was a real help a week into our vacation. - Anonymous

We stayed in a family room and it was very clean and comfortable. Steve cooked us a fabulous English breakfast the following morning. He even carried our bags and gave the kids lollies when we left. He went the extra mile which makes a big difference when you are travelling with kids. Would stay there again and happy to recommend to others. - Anonymous

Annesdale is close to the train station and an easy walk to shops and restaurants in Windermere. The hosts of Annesdale are very friendly. We appreciated that they gave us (and our luggage) a ride to the train station. The beds are comfortable and we enjoyed our own sitting room and garden complete with a table to enjoy a quiet time outside. - Anonymous

We stayed 3 nights at this delightful guest house set in the peaceful surroundings of Near Sawrey. Our hosts were very welcoming without being over bearing. The double room with en-suite facilities was spotless with a beautiful view over the wonderful countryside. A stone throw away from a lovely quaint pub/restaurant and near to Beatrix Potter's Hill Top farm. Breakfast was excellent with great choice. We found this delightful place very near to the village center. The owner and her daughter were extremely polite, caring and helpful, on our arrival they had provided us with loads of guides and plenty of info for our hiking trip across and around the lakes. And breakfast every morning was something to look forward to at this place, most attentive indeed. We highly recommend anyone to try them. P.S. The host Yvonne was very friendly and gave us the royal treatment! We were very impressed when upon arrival she gave us a breakdown of the activities we could do in Kendal and we like the breakfast arrangement whereby she would ask what time we wanted breakfast and exactly what we wanted to have!! It felt just like home. Stuart is a great cook. Breakfast was delicious! The room was extremely clean and the bathroom was bigger than some other places we had been to. The hotel is in an excellent location to see the Lake District. The only issue is the parking. The hotel does not own the parking lot so you must pay to use it. The lot is also rather small so you may have to park on the street and move your car by 9:00 in the morning or be ticketed. - Anonymous

Friendly owner (Ian) rang us before our arrival on the day and met us as we arrived even though it was late. Ian checked what we would like for breakfast the following day (and did this each day of our stay) and gave us a map of the local area- pointing out things of interest. Very comfortable bed and pillows, room itself very clean and comfortable and warm, decorated really nicely - as in pictures online. Quiet road and room, even when the B+B was full.
