    The house was lovely and had a very relaxing atmosphere, we enjoyed sitting in the cosy lounge next the fire whist sipping on a complementary sherry. The breakfast was very tasty. Heather was the perfect host, ensuring we had everything we needed and recommending places to eat out and things to see. We are usually not a big fan of bed and breakfast... what people say » s but our experience of Low House has changed our minds. - From the minute we arrived we received a very friendly welcome. At Low House there was a relaxed atmosphere and comfortable surroundings. The owners had thought of every small detail in ensuring our every need was catered for making our stay a pleasurable, relaxing one.

    We really enjoyed our recent stay at The Mortal Man. The food, service, log fires, cask ales including Black Sheep and Jennings Cumberland Ale and particularly the stunning scenery were all what made our stay most memorable.     The Edwardene is classy, friendly and impeccably maintained. The room we were in "Heather" was compact but only because the ensuite had been given generous space to include a full bath. A good trade off and the remaining space was cosy and equipped to a high standard (e.g. Laura Ashley bedspread). The breakfasts were excellent and friendly. Russ carried my luggage to my car, parked a block away. This was especially appreciated. Marie phoned me to let me know that they would carry my luggage downstairs for me. Great comforter and pillow, extra pillow on bed. Location close to restaurants and shops.

    The couple that own the hotel are extremely welcoming and really care about their guests having a good time.     The room was very clean, and the bed linens immaculate. The bathroom was also the cleanest we found. We loved staying at the Mariners. - Relaxed, friendly atmosphere, staff at breakfast were exceptionally nice. I took 2 small dogs which were very welcome.
