    The hotel design and decorations are great, especially the cafe on g Floor. Information provided in hotel's leaflet is very useful for us. Staff are polite, friendly and helpful. I am so in love with the breakfast choices. The taste is really good. Location is also great. It's less than 10 minutes walk to bus / train station. - The Artist Residence is a cosy and lovely hotel. Rooms are comfortable, clean, full of details and nice decorated (each room by a different artist). Breakfast is excellent and staff is really helpful and efficient. Its location - in a quiet street - is excellent for those using public transports, as the hotel is close to the railway and bus station. Very good value for money.

    Everything was wonderful. We had 2 rooms on top floor for ourselves and our 2 daughters. Most comfortable beds we stayed in all vacation and lovely, clean well appointed rooms . Staff was extremely friendly and helpful with everything , going above and beyond to ensure that we had a fabulous stay. Warm, homely atmosphere where even a lone traveller will feel included. Bar and restaurant (excellent menu) are stylish, seaside/rustic with a genuine 'local' feeling without the usual awkwardness of feeling you are intruding on the local's space! The hotel is directly in the area of the small shopping lanes and the harbour beach with excellent dining options around. Would suit a stay at any time of year

    Our room was very clean and whilst not too large it suited us well enough. Lovely bathroom and shower. There was a wide selection of food for breakfast: yoghurt, fresh fruit, preserves, cereals, toast and cooked. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.     When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere of the pubs and the beauty of the village. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful during our entire stay. The room was very well done and comfortable.     Mark and Francesca were great hosts and gave us a warm and friendly greeting when we arrived. Bailey was fast asleep most of the time but came to us in the restaurant for a tickle and a stroke. Kernow is an amazing fellow who accompanied us on a walk through the garden to the little chapel and the Druid's chair where he posed without prompting for... what people say » a photograph. The food was excellent, both evening meal and breakfast. The room was a little on the small side but perfectly adequate, clean and with - This is a family run restaurant and bed and breakfast. The menu was extensive with specials on each day. The evening meals were freshly cooked and superb. The breakfast is also hearty and a full English. The room was clean, bright and comfortable (room 8). There were 4 of us (two couples) and we stayed for three nights. The hotel was a perfect base for day trips out to the sights of Cornwall. We would definitely stay again. Thank you Francesca and Mark! - This is a family run restaurant and bed and breakfast. The menu was extensive with specials on each day. The evening meals were freshly cooked and superb. The breakfast is also hearty and a full English. The room was clean, bright and comfortable (room 8).     Barbara and Stephen were perfect hosts. Barbara shared her wealth of knowledge about this part of Cornwall. Steve is a professional chef so every meal, breakfast or dinner, was first class and consequently we chose to have most of our meals there. Together they went out of their way to ensure our week long stay was perfect. We would thoroughly r... what people say » ecommend Smugglers. - The smugglers has 3 rooms all of which are named after local artists they all have separate entrances and are very clean and comfortable the owners of the restaurant were really friendly and helpful food in the restaurant was excellent we would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking.     Too much to say in one review, I stay away at least two nights a week. It takes a lot for me to a) really impressed and b) almost speechless, however being shown to Room 5 did both those things!! The room itself was huge, and I mean huge. Open plan bath room, with bath and walk in wet room shower, everything in the room was quality from the slate ... what people say » on the walls and floor in bathroom to the Bose ipod dock. However the thing that dominates the room is the view, ceiling to floor (almost) glass windo - wow the lewinnick lodge is amazing, everything about our stay was fantastic, we stayed for two nights in the sunrise room. huge room with views over fistral beach, room spotless and the king size bed was very comfortable, bose I-pod dock, walk n shower and roll top bath by the window, breakfast included and was very good, we had dinner on both nights and was also excellent, the staff were friendly and very helpful, fresh milk delivered to our room for tea and coffee if you want good food, great

    I was bowled over by the friendliness and team-spirited nature of ALL of the staff I met - and also by their constant willingness to assist. Moreover, everyone was particularly welcoming to my two children (boys aged 14 and 11); which always makes a real difference to the holiday experience. I came away with the impression that everyone I encounte... what people say » red seemed to be genuinely happy working at Hotel California and this contributed greatly to a pleasant and laid-back ambience. All in all, I wished I - I originally picked the Hotel California because I liked the name, wanted to stay in Newquay and the price is a good value. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Interiors are beautiful. The dining room had lots of windows, so you can enjoy the scenery while dining. Beautiful view of the bay from the outside deck. The outdoor pool looked inviting, but the temperature was little to cool for me to try it. If I get a chance to go back to the U.K., I will definitely stay at the Hotel California

    St Mellion is a superb place to stay. The rooms are quite spacious and comfortable with in-room tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The health facilities and the golf course looked great too, albeit our stay was primarily to visit friends in the area and so we were not in the resort long enough during any day to take full advantage of even the swimmi... what people say » ng pools or the restaurant. Hopefully, we will be able to return in the future and will then plan to spend more time indoors and enjoy the pool etc. - Only on site for 10 hours (arrived late and left early) - but what I sore was all good. Breakfast options on the day start from approx £5 if you want tea and toast, lots of options up to the £12.50 full English which was very good. Spa looked great, would have loved to have spent more time there. The place was apparently full, I sore about 6 guests during my short stay and heard no one - very quiet. Beautiful surrounds.

    The location was perfect for visiting Tintagel Castle, Merlin's cave and the King Arthur museum which was perfect for our trip.     I thought the staff at Beachfield were very friendly and welcoming, and had a comfortable and relaxing stay there. The lounge/bar area was a nice place to sit and chill out with a drink, and the breakfast and service was really very good indeed.
