    Upgrade to executive suite for no extra charge. Leisure Club facilities and very friendly and helpful staff who made you feel very welcome. Breakfasts were excellent too. We enjoyed our stay very much - Well sited in relation to Ayr town centre . Delightful views of Arran. Staff very efficient and friendly.

    I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Horizon. The staff were very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. I thought the modern decor of the hotel was nice (considering it is an older hotel).     We were placed in Room 5 - what an fantastic room - thankyou, just a simple point but it displays the friendliness of your reception personnel. My wife and myself went to breakfast. We then met some friends who were residents in the hotel who had missed breakfast. The gentleman on reception arranged tea and toast for which there was no charge.     I booked this hotel for someone else to stay. Unfortunatly this person was taken ill during her visit. The hotel and staff were absolutely wonderful, helped her in every way, visited her in hospital, and collected her when she was discharged. She has nothing but praise for the hotel and its staff - From the minute we arrived the welcome said it all... what people say » , everyone couldnt do enough to make us feel so at home.     For us, the simplicity of the full clean domestic facilities with no unneccesary clutter. It was a no-fuss stay. We managed to do enough self-catering to keep costs down and be self sufficient, but still go out and treat ourselves on occassion. It's nice enough to just sit in for hours and just relax or to decide to just stay in for the evening.     I liked the whole experience of staying at the Piersland. We received a warm welcome and were shown to the most beautiful room which had a wonderful bathroom almost as big as the room. The welcome in the dining room was equally as good and the food and wine were excellent. As we had to leave next morning to catch an early ferry, the staff went out... what people say » of their way to make sure that we had a super breakfast. We will certainly be going back and making sure our friends know about it. - I was at a wedding at a nearby hotel and did not have the opportunity to sample all of the Piersland's facilities. However I did find the staff and bar service first class. The room was the lodge/cottage to the left. My partner and I were very pleasantly surprised by the comfort and layout. Room service breakfast was more than sufficient.
