For us, the simplicity of the full clean domestic facilities with no unneccesary clutter. It was a no-fuss stay. We managed to do enough self-catering to keep costs down and be self sufficient, but still go out and treat ourselves on occassion. It's nice enough to just sit in for hours and just relax or to decide to just stay in for the evening. You can balance the budget and still feel on a break away at the sun and seaside. all reviews »
Facilities and cleanliness were great. We also liked the convenient location. Walking distance to shops and train station. Could be in Prestwick airport in 15 minutes door to door without a car!.

Location was good for restaurants/ shops. Unit was self contained and had everything including washing machine which was very handy. Kitchen was fully equipped for cooking.

It's just a personal pet hate but why surround any kitchen sink with wood effect worktops that evidently stain when wet. I spent disproportionate time searching for water spillage then managing the damp dishcloths than I did just doing kitchen stuff.
The bed - not the most comfortable. It could do with a mattress topper or something on it.
Lack of WIFI.
Slight damp smell in cottage but owner aware of this and taking steps to rectify by fitting new extractor in shower room.
Windows do not open in MBR because of miniblinds.
Only 4 place settings, silverware means you must run dishwasher every day.
Probably should have service for 8 to be more efficient.
We did not understand landlord wanted CASH rental payment until we arrived.
Beds were very uncomfortable Lounge chair was very uncomfortable.
Bed on bedroom was most uncomfortable and could benefit from new mattress also there is a smell of dampness which one can smell on entering cottage I believe it originates frm bathroom.
