Access to Internet was most important for me. The whole experience was very pleasant, dinner was in the pub section and very nice. The friendly nauture of the owners/staff. The room was brilliant and very handy for Silverstone which is shy we were staying there.they have computors in the rooms free, and the staff were very nice and helpfull and the food was excellent. The location is great and is far more personal than staying at the travel lodge.

The bathroom was not cleaned during the day, the sink was as we left it in the morning. No water pressure on shower, Noisey location local motorcyclists.Room was cold on arival, the heater was very small and the centralheating dod not work in my room. The dinning room windows looked as ifthey had not been cleaned in a long time and the carpet is thread bearnear the door to the garden. It was a bit noisy in the night, more due to lack of consideration by other guests than the fault of the hotel. The hotel was badly in need of updating. Beds were badly made and not very comfortable with old bedlinen. Curtains were hanging from tracks with linings hanging down at least a couple of inches beneath and there were holes in the net curtains. Bin in bathroom had not been emptied. Stains on the carpet. Shower was pathetic; carpet not that clean. Lining of curtains in our room were hanging down and Bed linen very tired. Things like carpets looked tired and not very clean and net curtains were dirty and the decor was poor and needed freshening up. As is often the case, there was too much furniture in the room which gave a feeling of it being slightly cramped.

Travelling information

By Car (from the A34):
- Exit the A34 at the Hinskey Hill interchange (this is the 1st exit for Oxford, if coming from Abingdon/Newbury and the last exit for Oxford if coming from the M40 junction 9).
- Take the exit on the roundabout signposted Wootton/Boars Hill.
- Travel up the hill for half a mile and at the top of the hill turn right signposted Wootton and Boars Hill.
- Ignore the hotel sign as it is not for us.
- Carry on down this road for exactly 1.1 miles, taking no other turnings, and we are on the left hand side just as the hill starts to descend. If there are any problems then please don't hesitate to contact us.
