easy to get to from the motorway and the leisure facilities. Swimming pool, eating in hotel. The fact that I used all the leisure facilities for two days. There was a local pub, shops and next to Attenborough Nature REserved. The receptionist kindly gave me a room at 10am way before check in as I arrived to use the leisure facilities. Therefore I had somewhere to change. The food and breakfast is excellent.

We were told that we were upgraded to a room with a King Size bed. This was in fact two single beds pushed together and a king size matress laid on top. check in a bit slow - could do with more staff on a fri eve. only 1 packet of biscuits between 2 of us.breakfast in the bar on the sunday. smell in toilet..hot breakfast items were dried up where had been sitting for some time. The shower was a bit tempremental. Had problems with getting hot water. Reported it but adveced to run it mor . Spoke to maintenance lady next day she admitted they were having problems and if it did not work that night we could go to another room to have a shower! On second night it did not work again but we didnt really want to nip to another room for a shower. restrictive hours for children to use the pool. Restaurant staff were slow - or maybe the rather full restaurant was under-staffed. Huge car park, but it was difficult to find a free space upon arrival. 2 rooms booked at £275 for 3 nights but tried to charge £285 for one on check out as "prices went up overnight" apparently!. Broken sofa bed. staff could be more friendly (reception) it says in the booklet that you can get free day pass to come back and use the facilites but when i asked she said we dont do them anymore so why is it in the welcome pack..... then she was quite off hand about it we felt like we was begging to get something we wasnt intilted to...We were not informed, despite asking the question, that food was only available if booked as part of a package for New Years Eve. This was fully booked on our arrival and as we had 2 grandchildren with us posed a problem. Fortuneately we manageed to get into a very nice local pub and had a good value meal there. There was a wedding party on both nights. Fun but noisy at times.We had no hot water in our rooms until the next morning. I had to goback down to the leisure centre to shower. During a three night stay I was unable to get enough hot water for a bath.Impossible to shower without flooding floor. No information on hotel facilities in room. Advertised as having views over nature reserve, all I could see was Carpet Right and a retail park! Bathroom floor not very clean on arrival. Only one set of towels in room, although there were two of us, when I went down to ask for more reception said they were in drawers, but they were not. There was no room service - ie food - available when I arived at midnight. Not even a cheese sandwich.very noisy - live music until well after 1am (it was a saturday). Dinner in restaurant disappointing - some food returned (and wine not chilled so replaced). Again, problems probably because a busy Saturday evening. Many guests complained of no hot water - understand a regular problem. The room was not as high a standard as expected for the cost, the lay out and design was the same as some much less expensive hotels i have stayed in.Being given a room with an adjoining door. I had a double bed but the sheets did not fit, they were far too short.Staff were more bothered about doing things on the computer than servingus. Room was ok but basic. A lot of noise from the road as the windowdidn't fit properly.
