I went with a few friends for a girls getaway and we loved it. The staff were friendly and helpful. Especially the receptionist Torik who helped us find our way around Manchester, he was really nice to talk to, helpful and helped us get tickets for the local bars. This to me is going the extra mile in customer service which we really appreciated. The apartment was well equipped, spacious and comfortable. We were able to cook for ourselves with ease. It felt like a home from home.
all reviews » Our whole stay from start to finish was fabulous. The location was perfect as we were visiting the city for shopping and sight-seeing. The apartments were clean, spacious and very comfortable. Although we were slightly concerned about noise, this wasn't an issue as it was very quiet during the week. The breakfast was a bonus and truly scrumptious. Staff were friendly and very understanding. We will definitely be back again with more friends. Much better than my usual hotel choice which happened to be fully booked on date of arrival. Excellent location and additional space in comparison to a hotel room at the same price. Although this hotel did not have a restaurant on site, I was within walking distance to some great restaurants including Papa G's and Nandos at the Printworks. I requested an early check-in, however due to being fully booked the night before, our apartment wasn't ready. The Concierge however let us keep our luggage in the building, enabling us to attend our early function and collect the key on our return. Excellent communication, location and value for money. Very good location, next to Arndale Shopping centre,(just across the road), also next to pubs and situated just in the city.Apartments are perfect with all commodities...surely next time in Manchester will re-book at The Works.Reception man, John was fantastic and ready to help in every moment!!!!. When we arrived early this was no problem, the apartments were spacious and clean, and the location was spot on for shopping and sightseeing. We will definitely be coming back. Easy walking distance to all main attractions and stored cases until we were ready to leave which allowed us to go around the Christmas markets. we had a lovely vacation at the works, the local areas was great for shopping and sight seeing. The apartments were great value for money and by the far the most spacious I have stayed in. We will definitely return to the works. Little bit pricey but then again we did book pretty much last minute. there was a broken window and the shower screen was damaged so the bathroom flooded every time it was used. we also woke up with no water which was slightly inconvenient. beds were a bit hard an need mattress covers x. The shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor. Quite difficult to find - could be better signposted - needs a bigger sign basically (our taxi driver unfortunately didn't know where it was exactly), it doesn't look much from outside and the corridors etc could do with some TLC, for four people staying over 2 days could be more generous with things like tea/coffee making facilities and toilet rolls. Beds were slightly hard for my liking but this did not affect our stay. Some of the rooms had strange marks on the walls (looked like blood) and there was no one working to check out with and we didnt know where to put the key. The bath plug did not work. would have preferred a later check out. The shower wasn't hot water. And the kitchen was abit dirty. Hob extractor and fridge/freezer. A bit difficult to find, just a door with a small plaque. Would be easier if it were stated in directions it's directly opposite birdcage nightclub or a few doors up from tiger tiger. Spent half an hour walking up and down street and no one seemed to know where it was. Worth it when we got there though. bathroom. Very noisy area. Late night bars until 3am. At 6am, the bins emptied and washed from nearby buildings for over 2 hours. Informed reception that I would not be back for the 2nd night stay. On confirming cancellation, I was informed that I would still be charged regardless as 7 days notice was needed - I had only booked it 3 days previously. the noise there were people leaving the club's round us till 5am monday morn!!!. There was no toilet roll on arrival also no docking station like the advertisement said.
