The Heart Apartments are in a great location on the outskirts of Manchester yet only a short tram or taxi trip into the city centre. Have previously stayed in the city centre and much preferred Media City UK. Very handy for the Imperial War Museum, great shops in the Lowry centre. The Apartments are really lovely, very clean modern interior and we had a great view over the canal. Concierge staff are outstanding and can't do enough to help.
all reviews » We had 2 bedroom appartment which was spacious and well equiped. I liked the fact there was tea/ coffee/washing up liqued and cloths. The linen and towels were excellent. certainly stay here agian on next visit to Manchester. Tram runs out from city centre and appartments only a few mins walk. Booth's shop round the corner has everything you would require for a stay. Lovely food and drink products. Good location outside the city centre with excellent tram links. On site parking was reasonably priced at £6.50 for an overnight stay. The girl on reception was really friendly & helpful.. For us it was better than a hotel room as there was a separate lounge/bedroom so when our baby went to sleep we could put her in the bedroom so she wasn't disturbed. A clean and roomy apartment, newish, with all cooking equipment needed. The balcony door was opened for us as the weather was very hot, despite being told that was against security regulations. The public transport links with the city were excellent. Our view of the Manchester Ship Canal was excellent. There was a supermarket just round the corner. Staff were friendly and accommodated our every needs, apartment itself was clean and all in tacked. Location was great and just a short tram ride away to Central manchester, area around Appartments was great with a few bars and places to eat which were first class! Would stay there again next time. rooms were clean and spacious.. walking distance to old Trafford football stadium which was a bonus, no need for taxis. its also not to far from town if your wanting a night out. just what we needed for a great price :).. this will be our first place to look at for future trips to manchester. The 2-bedroom appartment was very clean and well equipped for a short stay and in a good location for the Lowry centre. The beds were comfortable and there were two bathrooms - so one each! The staff were friendly and helpful and there is an excellent supermarket close by. hassle free check in out.we had some minor problems with internet connection and tv but the staff (bejoy)were excellent and sorted it straight away,good spec facilities.great view from 6th floor room.everything supplied in room as well so didn't need to bring any extras. We travelled for a football match and these apartments are ideal for matches at Old Trafford. It is only about 10 minutes walk to the stadium. It is also close to the Trafford Shoping complex and has restaurants and shops nearby. All in all ideal location for our trip. Modern design and absolutely spotless. Great facilities and close to supermarket. Parking was within Media City, a few mins walk from apartment - subsidised by apartment - you need to take your parking ticket with you in to reception. 24hrs cost me £7.50 I think!. There were two of us and we stayed n an apartment with 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms, and a kitchen / diner. Flat was really clean and well stocked with plates, glasses, kettle, white goods. Good location for us as we were attending a course about 10 mins away. The staff at the reception gave us a warm welcome at our arrival. The apartment was advanced equipped and well furnished. It was very bright and spacious and impressed us when we first stepped into the door. Cooker and kitchen were clean and ready to use.The apartment was clean and modern and had everything we needed for a girls weekend break. The staff on reception were helpful and polite especially the young man who worked there. Overall a lovely apartment that we'd definitely stay in again. Situated in an up and coming, trendy area in Media City with easy access to trams to the City centre. There were also a number of nice relaxing restaurants within walking distance. Apartment had lovely en-suite bedroom and balcony area. Facilities were very luxurious and a taxi to the centre is around 10 minutes. There's a Costa right outside and an upmarket grocery on the same complex (although a little pricey). Definitely 4* standard; albiet hallways smell a little. i love the decor and the style and above all the location was just perfect to venture and everything is just next to you , from pubs to shopping centre to retail parks , its a safe place with 24/7 security ... many thanks. Everything ready to go soon as we got there. The kitchen was well designed and the room was comfortable and modern. We had to have service men come in twice,once to replace a broken chair and another time to replace a drawer that had fallen apart. Apartment was really clean, we were competing in the Manchester great swim, staff allowed us to stay on for an extra hour to get a shower after the swim , great service. Reduced car parking fees too. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. Excellent location with nearby parking- everything in walking distance plus metrolink into city centre. We loved the BBC studio tour. The apartments were really convenient and a short tram journey away from the city centre, with all the facilities you need for a weekend stay, or even longer. Reasonably priced. The place is inmaculate and quiet ive stayed twice whilst attending nights out in the city and the tram stop is near by which makes it a bit easier on ya wallet. Great apartment, furnished to a high standard. Close to tram line and there's a bar in the square where you can have a drink whilst waiting for your tram!. More or less everything about the room: a very nice size, nice bathroom, comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen - I could live there for a month easily. Good Customer Service as the apartment 307 was not clean however once this was highlighted we were moved to 401 which was cleaner and slight bigger too. Excellent apartment. The staff and apartment were great, great location as we were going to Old Trafford. Nothing. Difficult to find...better directions. No mirror in main bedroom...could replace picture with a mirror for hair and makeup. No wardrobe or hanging space in main bedroom..just small things that could be changed. The double bed was actually 2 singles pushed together. The sofa was a bit tatty & had seen better days. It was noisy in the corridor in the early hours of the morning & there were doors slamming pretty much all the time. The bathroom light was on permanently with no apparent way to switch it off. The lift was peculiar in that it couldn't be controlled from the inside; floor destination was chosen outside when calling it. Nothing everything was great!. only problem there's no car park yet but can use the car park over the road, its safe and secure and hotel staff sort out the parking ticket when you leave. Given the apartment can accommodate three people and has a washing machine, dishwasher etc there is very little wardrobe and drawer space. What there is is in the single room with none in the double room. Also, only two dining chairs. a decent hike away from the centre of the city.media city doesn't have too much in terms of shops etc.directions on the website aren't brilliant. No car parking facilities part of the complex, although there is a high rise car park in walking distance and we were able to pay a reduced rate as we were staying at the complex. The kitchen was well stocked, except there was no kitchen towel to take hot food out of the oven. The fan may be a little bit noisy.The balcony was a little on the small side and the double en-suite room had no wardrobe. It did have coat rails but without hangers it wasn't much help. There seemed some initial reluctance to open access to our balcony due to concerns over noise to other residents who were living in upper apartments, but staff were excellent and showed discretion and common-sense given the hot weather. The hotel did not receive confirmation of my reservation from letsbookhotel.com and tried to charge me £40 extra! After speaking to the manager he booked me a room at the same cost (took almost 30 minutes to check in). The bed was terrible, seemed very cheap. Room layout was pretty awkward, The tv only had one channel and that was very hit and miss at times too. The price for car parking is ridiculous so glad I didn't drive. The parking situation was terrible. We had to pay a 7 pound parking fee every time we left the facility and returned not seven pounds per day as was indicated on your web site. For this reason we would not stay here on our next trip. Not very well signposted and not that easy to find even with sat nav. That is my only negative. They are hidden around the corner of Costa, we stumbled across them almost. If you find Costa you'll be fine. No tea towels or oven gloves! It appeared that Media City is still being built and I'm sure it will be much better when completed - it just meant that we looked over a building site. Reception staff was not always present at the times advertised: it was sheer luck that they caught me on my arrival date. Some residents were not respectful of others when they returned late after partying etc. Apartment could have other items included coffee press and a colander. Nothing. The bed was uncomfortable - poor/weak mattress. I was situated on the 6th floor and the water pressure in the shower was not that good. Asked for a double bed and got 2 singles zipped together so not as comfy due to zip, and gap...not having close parking in wet weather :-(. Hyper sensitive fire alarm, could do with a slightly better stocked kitchen, the fridge froze most things and there was a split in the sofa cover. we were disturbed by very rowdy guests - management, security guards and the police were called before they were evicted. Frightening experience - and little sleep. The fact that we couldn't open the balcony to smoke. This was the whole purpose we looked for a room with a balcony so we didn't have to keep going downstairs. Parking not on site and we were under the impression that it was free parking and this was included in our room price. Reception wasn't 24 hours. That I never got told about the £200 they hold so that was abit of a shock and had the wait around for half a hour to check out. Parking is bit issue when u want short term park. It could have been a little bigger. It was a 2 bedroom apartment and there were 4 of us. I had to request a 4th chair for the dining table. The fact that we weren't able to stay longer. The onsite parking isn't as much as on site but down the road and a two minute walk. Not a major problem, but with a young child and luggage, it wasn't the easiest to access. Nothing. Just a tiniest complain.. There was a packet of opened veet shaver on the floor. Could have checked the room before we arrived. No TV in master bedroom. None. Only a small dislike, the beds aren't the biggest.
