We decided to stay at this hotel as is was close to Old Trafford. The view of the Salford Quay is stunning, especially at night time. The welcome wa fantastic and the rooms and hotel in general was of very high standard. I would definetely go back and stay there again. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The staff werehelpful,friendly and local, which I find important. They were able togive me local information and advise me about transport and where tovisit. I loved the bar and terrace on the quay. Very relaxing.

Overall, really worth it. free parking, easy to get into manchester, nice hotel rooms clean, staff helpfull easy for taxis. Very close to the Football stadium and the Imperial War Museum,Lovely walks around quayside. very pleasant staff,warm room,cosy atmosphere in restaurant,overlooking the lake.Business -like , friendly attitude of all staff, especially at Bar and Reception. We were attending the match at Old Trafford and were hoping for access to our room on arrival (11.30am). Unfortunately room was not available until 1.30pm. This was clearely stated before we booked . Service at breakfast was not brilliant but not a big problem. .In the morning the cleaning staff were very loud and woke me up every morning i stayed there. For the price, it would of been nice to have breakfast thrown in.Staff walking into the room without waiting for an invitation - twice. Once to fill up the mini bar on our arrival - so we wouldn't get charged for items we had not been given. Second time and most annoying - at 8.20 approx the next morning. We were still in bed after the late night at a concert - obviously a mistake on their part as check out time was noon that day. The fact breakfast was not included. Exspensive breakfeast, ( we ate outside hotel ). Room got quite hot at night but too noisy to have window open.Staff were lovely and friendly. Very warm room, windows opend a small amount, not enough to cool the room. Bathroom in need of refurbishment. Insufficeient parking and the decor needs attention. My hotel door was badley damaged which you wouldn't expect in a 4 star hotel. It all looks a little jaded.The inability of the chef to cook a steak rare. only that there was no air con in room, so room was rather hot!!!. room next to a construction site that began at 7.30am!.
