The hotel is well located being just off the M4. Being well glazed, you do not hear any traffic noise. The room was quite spacious and the shower was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and breakfast was good with an early option from 6 to 11am which was good as it got really busy from around 8.30am. It was nice to have a hair dryer and ironing board in the room as well as moisturiser as well as shampoo and conditioner and plenty of towels. There was ample parking and a restaurant i.
all reviews » As ever it met every expectation - £98 for 2 nights b+b - talk about good value - 5th time - room 328 - double bed - comfy quiet and efficient - puts a lot of more expensive hotels to shame - easy to get to from M4 - easy to get Magor with its supermarket 2 good pubs + Indian fusion plus take-always - went flower show in Cardiff - easy peasy - would stay again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend - what more can be said!!!!!!. We both liked the modern design of the hotel and the space and practicality of the room itself. The bed was particularly comfortable. Indeed extra pillows had been put in the bed before our arrival to meet a prior request.We also enjoyed the walk-in shower and cleanliness of the bathroom. We were there to move my son back to University in Caerleon. Hotel was superb value, rooms very well thought out and comfortable. Breakfast was good and staff fantastic. Usually pay twice as much at The Hilton, Newport but won't be again. Hampton was superior in every way. Loved the oversized single beds. A member of staff from Leicester originally, took care of us and was extremely helpful and attentive since I was travelling with a young child and also 6 months pregnant. She was very pleasant and polite and made us feel very welcome. Loved the room, decor & layout of whole hotel. Stunning bathroom and adored the fact the hand soaps, washes & moisturisers are provided as wall-mounted & easy to use. Easy check-in & friendly, helpful staff. Plenty parking available for vehicles. The staff, particularly the manager (Kurt) were helpful in many ways,they cared about our stay and assisted us to make the best out of our few days in S Wales. The Hotel was clean and comfortable. We saw beach, castle, mountains and country all in 3 days!. We have stayed here many many times and find everything very user friendly from booking the hotel to checking in and checking out. The staff are always very friendly and helpful and cannot do enough to make the stay easy and better for you. Excellent room contained everything we needed, very clean and modern. Loved breakfast, very good variety of. food. Good bar meals in the evening so not necessary to venture out. Staff very helpful and efficient, cant fault the place. i liked the fact it has a gym, this was ideal for me when staying away for business. The whole hotel was clean, modern and comfy and the food i had was very nice also and the free wifi in the restuarant/bar area was ideal. Excellent room for my husband who is a wheelchair user. As seasoned travellers who generally liked the hotel and thought it well-managed, can we respectfully suggest that Hilton look closely at what comparable hotels, especially in Europe, provide for breakfast. The quality of what was on offer would need to improve for us to return!. Husband felt the mattress was a bit on the firm side for him, as he prefers a softer mattress. The sat nav will send you into the factory opposite, but that's the post code and not the hotels fault. Breakfast is sometimes a little busy and if you come down a little late can be cold/not enough selection left but for the price charged cannot really fault anything. no free-wifi available in the rooms. There was nothing to dislike. Not able to think of anything to comment on here. windows dont open , but i already knew that so more a pet hate then complaint ... no cups/cutlery at the ready breakfast times.tables not cleaned after the meal. Nothing all excellent. Would have preferred a teaspoon in our room rather than wooden stick to stir drinks, everything else spoke luxury, and this detail let it down. View outside was a bit scruffy - over the wasteland bit - didn't spoil our stay though. The meal prices were a little expensive and the window in our bedroom didn't have an opening function. Nothing to report here. Poor WiFi availability. Powdered eggs for breakfast - Duh! Personally I found the lighting in the room a bit dim. .The hotel did put a notice to advise breakfast could be busy but did not realise when busy there would not be any cutlery ,dishes or food . I cannot find fault. No orange juice available at breakfast but otherwise the complementary breakfast was really god. choice of evening meal very limited (Burgers, etc). the only thing i was not too happy about was the food ,have had much better,that is my only criticisim. I forgot the charger for my tablet and phoned several times to chase it up but they never got back to me to say if they had found it or not. Nightmare to find, sat nav didn't recognise, could see it from road but couldn't get it, took twice as long to get there as it should have, would have helped to have more detailed directions on website. Not very much apart from lack off proper smoking facilities and no real overview when children were running around and riding scooters around the dining area when you were trying to eat, but overall no major concerns. the gym. I don't like gyms. Karl check in skills didn't explain anything. I had to ask about breakfast, wifi..and other stuff. Choice of cooked breakfast was minimal for someone who avoids sausages and hash browns. Scrambled egg had run out when I arrived (shortly after 7am). The bacon rashers were stuck together. There were no mushrooms or beans or tomatoes. room a bit hot during the night. Nothing. Nothing. Noise from traffic but that is price paid for convenience of locality. Bed a little hard. Scrambled egg - yeuk!. Nothing really. The conditioner in the room was blocked but I reported this to the maids. The room was near the road and glazing didn't stop the road noise entirely. The pillows were overly soft. The breakfast room/restaurant was very noisy. Cleaning could be a bit more thorough. Location on a business park feels a bit odd - you definitely need a car to get around - but once you get used to it it's actually quite convenient for getting around. The location wasnt what I expected as not much around the hotel however we used the car to travel about. Nothing. Not cosy enough to have an evening drink & breakfast is more like a bun fight to get a table.
