The scenic Hubbard's Hills are a 15-minute walk away and Louth Golf Club is a 5-minute drive.

Great location in the centre of Louth. The staff were friendly and welcoming and with the American Diner attached, made for a perfect stay for us. The room was contemporary and stylish, with a top notch en-suite. Provided in the room was everything we needed for a comfortable stay. All this and at a budget price too! Excellent!. In centre of lovely town of Louth with lots of independent shops. Room was fine as was en suite. There is not really a bar at The Pack Horse, just an american style diner so we got a really good pint and a good crack with the locals at the Whyte Swanne (yes it does have a peculiar spelling!) which is just up the road.
all reviews » We stayed on a Monday evening and it was nice and quiet as the restaurant below was closed on Mondays. Rooms and bathrooms were well equipped and decorated. Plenty of hot water. Landlord was friendly. Decent breakfast. All in all good value for money. NIce room, friendly staff and loved the cocktails in the bar. Restaurant was American Diner - good value but stopped serving at 8pm. However sister pub was just along the road and served traditinal English food and seafood. The staff were very helpful and the facilities were supprisingly good. Bed confortable and the bathroom brilliant. I lived in Louth a few years ago and have been very supprised at the upgrade at thePack Horse. Nice spacious room - upgraded from single to a twin. Bathroom gorgeous with good quality toiletries and superb towels. Very quiet location even though it's the centre of town. We were in Louth for a wedding we found the staff and locals very helpful and friendly. If we are down in Louth again, we would book into the Pack Horse again. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was comfy and cosy. The food was really good, you will never go hungry here and great value for money. Friendly hotel with lovely spacious room. The only criticism is that the building needs double glazing to stop noise. Restaurant stopped serving at 8pm. Wouldn't mind bigger towels. Parking not brilliant. being a bit wrinkly the dtairs were a bit steep but not unmanagabke. No fresh fruit, not even a banana, at breakfast, cold toast. Disturbed by noisy drunks during the night and the car parking was limited. Nothing at all to dislike - we would definitely use again. The car park could be improved. The room was dark and had no where for the wife to sit at and slap her make up on. Rooms at the front/over the alleyway are a bit noisy early in the morning. Also the bathroom was very cold!. Nothing, the place was spot on!. Nothing. Breakfast although a good choice it wasn't nicely cooked All a little too greasy. Very small TV, had to use my binos to watch from the bed. my wife had difficulty climbing the stairs to the bedroom. other than that we had a pleasant time at your hotel. nothing. Bathroom was cold, minor issue. Just a tiny bit worn looking, but that is being picky. The basin in the bathroom stunk like sewerage. Tried charging £10 extra for 15 mins early breakfast, very cheeky. No heating in the bathroom, although not an issue in the summer may be one in the winter!. Restuarant/bar menu not to my taste, but there are plenty of other eateries within a fee minutes walk. I was staying on business and would have prefered a more business like accomodation receipt as it has to be submitted to my company for reimbursement of my costs. Maybe a printed receipt would have been more acceptable. No facilities for evening meal as they did not provide meals on a Monday. The room and wash facilities are just basic and the diner underneath rooms is loud if you like your early nights.
