The quirkiness; if you don't like quirky then don't stay here! The staff were young, helpful and keen to make our stay a pleasant one. We chose a room without a window which was fine for 1 night. - Friendly and helpful staff
- Free breakfast bag (juice, apple and a bar) hanging on your door every morning
- Clean room with a very comfy bed and a nice rain shower: what more do u need?
- Close to tube & vibrant/multicultural/trendy Brick Lane with all its different shops/restaurants/bars/markets. It looks a bit dodgy at first maybe (graffiti), but felt very safe there. Few tourists, London at its best IMHO

This was a very nice hotel. We stayed in an apartment type room which was nice because it had cooker hobs, microwave, toaster, fridge and freezer. Although we didn't avail of these facilities they would have been very useful if we stayed longer. The breakfast was nice - a continental breakfast. The hotel is very well situated. The cleanliness of the room and the beds was great, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. In general, it is a nice hostel which i would definitely love to visit again. The rooms are okay and the breakfast is just okay for the day's start. Good place to meet nice people from other parts of the world. Price is just okay (not cheap/not expensive) because the hostel is situated in a nice location close to the city center.

Abbey/Big Ben. Lot's of restaurants, supermarkets and pharmacy

The rooms are very comfortable, modern, clean with large beds, good TV, airconditioning and very nice bathrooms. I've read in another review the roadside rooms can be noisy, but that was not our experience. In the evening it's also pretty quit on the streets.

Front desk staff extremely nice and helpful. Street and neighborhood are safe and quiet, yet within 10 minutes walk of three tube stations, Kings Cross, Euston Square, and Russell Square. Rooms may be small, and stairs narrow, but you can't beat the charm of this historic building and neighborhood. Hearty buffet breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, yogurt, cereal, coffee, tea, etc. Would definitely stay here again.
