Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The 24/7 reception and the locking of the doors at night made the place very safe in this particular part of Camden town. Being a student lodge for the most part I was pleasantly surprised how quiet the building was at night and how clean it remained at all times. Bed linens and towels were white and crisp clean. Suzie (Zuzi) at the reception receives everyone with a great smile and wonderful customer service- she made all the difference in my stay by .

The managers are all young and very friendly, helped a lot when I had to prolong my stay. The design is calm and I like that every room had a stacked book shelf with all kinds to choose from. Location is perfect; right between 2 main northen line stations and the area is extremely colorful and vibrant. You can ask the staff for most kitchen supplies - pans, pots, plates, washing solutio. Great location. Good prices. The room is brand new and got everything you need for a short or medium stay. But don't expect it to be cleaned often. I've stay there for 12 days and my room was cleaned (and towels changed) only once. I would even recommend you to buy an small towel to dry the room after shower. They will not provide you that. Anyway, you won't find anything better for the price they charge. It was easily accessible and neat. the hotel staff were helpful. All shops, buses and underground were easily accessible. Location is very good. Nearby construction/ engine noise were at times disturbing as work started daily at 8 am. Although it is indicated on the website that toiletries were not provided, I would have preferred to have at least a bar of soap and some shampoo sachets for my first shower after arrival before having to step out to purchase my own. There is some construction on site, so when u sleep in its not the best sound to woken up by. Some of the other visitors were noisy till the small hours, but a pair of ear plugs worked fine for me. Is everything pretty much ok, my only concern is about cleaning. As long as you don't expect it to be perfect, you will have a great time there. some rooms (specially the ones towards south) could be quite hot at summer; bathroom is quite small; shower system is not friendly at all. Some renos still going on.. But this is fine, renos only in morning to mid afternoon, doesn't really affect me. Instead of a bed, there was a two level futon. It was very firm and I had to use a blanket underneath. No extra blanket was provided and I used my coat instead. The room was very hot, the window didnt open very wide (we were high up so I can understand why!)and the room got really hot when the shower was on. Instructions on how to lower the bunk bed would have been handy but we figured it out in the end. unfortunately many parts of the hotel aren't well built, they make it look a bit shabby (for example, in the lobby there are some nice holes in the wall and many scratches from careless workers) the toilet seat in our room was broken and the floor plate in the shower was also broken (not fixed to the ground). a little bit noisy during night time, since room is very close to each other, some youths made noise in late time, but no later than 12pm. Sometimes there were problems with electricity and water. Everything is good. 1) Draining in the shower could've been better, it still very wet many hours after using it. 2) Soundproofing could use some work also. 3) At least some of housekeeping staff are Russian young women, who often loudly talked to each other in Russian, using obscene language, which might be ok if you don't understand it, but if you came to relax or to study away from Russia, it might bother some people. No TV in the room and in the common area. If you only require a place to sleep then that's okay. However I wanted to stay in a place I could relax and take a break from shopping or site seeing. No room cleaning when you stay. There was a stove in the room, but no pan or pot to cook. You need shower shoes there. The room is not cleaned while staying. noise! this place is for students - large groups of students come to stay and it is very noisy all day and most of the night the staff can't do much to keep the noise down. if it's not students, it's construction workers who seem to stay on site and get drunk on their days off. Not comfortable in shower. Cleaning once a week, they do not make the beds, only put new bed clothes once a week. Something wrong with fire alarm. Twice a day or evening fire alarm starts to honk. Sometimes more than twice. It is horrible. In corridor it is smell of plastic. People on the street make a noise untill morning.
