we loved everything about this hotel. the service and room couldnt of been better. we asked for some ice to be brought up to our room not knowing at the time there was no room service tho when we looked in the freezer there were ice cube trays filled up so there was plenty! what a lovely touch, customer extremely satisfied with the service and welcome from the staff. loved it!! x. Very clean and well laid out top range kitchen appliances and tea coffee and sugur already in apartment plus milk in fridge for our use. Good selection of toiletries. Close to trains and excel building with 4-5 eating places close by and takeaway service with delivery available leaflets on front desk.all reviews »
Very pleasant place to stay, Easy to drive to from the south east coast. As we were visiting London with our children, it was nice that they had their own room rather than someone having to sleep on a sofa bed. We were visiting the Excel centre for one day early start, your hotel was perfect; ideally situated, good parking, modern decor. ( the TV reception was poor, all stations had a shadow). The apartment was brilliant, very modern and clean. Excellent value for money. Lovely area. Didnt want to leave!! Would definetly go back!! Brilliant!. The helpful staff, the location in relation to where I wanted to be and the standard of cleanliness and decor in the apartment. All excellent.Very enjoyable. Good location for Canary Wharf and surrounding areas plus easy to get across city with Jubilee Line. lovely clean apartment. friendly staff. value for money and the noisy guests upstairs were soon quietened down!!. Very comfortable home from home would use this location again. I found this better than staying in a hotel. A lot of space .. I really loved and the next time I know where I should make reservation :). Location/facilities and price all excellent. Ideal as a base for working out of ExCEL. The Grainstore is a few doors along onthe right hand side, on the same row as the Chinese restaurant. Youcan't miss it (if you follow these directions), but... As I was exhibiting at Excel' the proximity of the Grainstore wasunbeatable. Facilities around it are also excellent. Space and comfortare excellent, and the fittings and furniture are superb.The Apartment was lovely, well maintained and very comfortable. The Milk in the fridge was a nice touch so you can have a tea or coffee on arrival!. It felt very homely, and so comfortable. Eveything was so clean and tidy me and my wife felt like clenaing everyting up to keep it pristine!. I liked everything about the Hotel apartment. Modern, clean, spacious, value for money. it was in the flight path for the london airport but the planes stop at 9pm and do not start again till 7am. the noise did not wake my partner but I am a light sleeper. This would not put me off of using the facilities again. It would help to have a sign outside with the name on it.No mirror in bedroom to do hair, make up(for my wife!!). The airport is close .. a little to close ..Didn't have a corkscrew - only thing missing. The hotel itself is lovely, the only thing they could improve on was to offer food. ...The sign is tiny (there is a small plaque next to the front door) andthe directions given on the site are terrible. From the outside, thereis no way you could tell it was a hotel. The advertised free wifi was hugely disappointing. I only managed to getconnected once or twice and was booted off in minutes. This was animportant factor in my decision to book, so was a real disappointment. The only (very minor) grumble was that the TV only seemed to show Channel's 4 and 5, and there were no instructions on how to get normal TV services. As we were only staying the one night, this was no big problem. Didn't like it was so quiet, didn't see anyone else. But that's just me, bit weird that way. Thought it was next door to the O2 arena which it wasn't but still not that far away.We absolutely hated being woken up at 8am by the builders outside our apartment using drilling equipment. Unacceptable after a late night at the theatre and wanting a lie in. the aeroplanes, although only during the day. Yes noise from airport nearby and early morning noise from building workin the property. Internet worked well in lobby but could not access in room despite wifi transmitters in all corridors.This time the bedside lamp was not working and no milk in the fridge in comparison to my last stay. Television did not seem to work properly. Better sign posting for the apartments. Could be better signposted - we had to ask for directions from neighbouring offices. The security guard was pretty rude. Arriving at 20:00 (and in the dark) was very disappointing. Myself andanother guest were walking around looking for the door but had troublefinding it because it the sign was unlit and the directions we weregiven by telephone were poor. The reception is unmanned after 18:00 andthey "forgot" to leave my keys out there, so I had to wait another 15minutes for the concierge to bring them. Somewhat difficult to find in the docklands re-development area; even the staff of the Chinese restaurant next to it did not know its location. In my appartment, WLAN internet was strong enough for functioning in the kitchen only. At least two changes required to get into the city by public transport (takes quite some time and is very crammed in the evening and morning). Unable to park just outside the appartment block without fear of prosecution.went to check in at 2.45 pm. room not ready until 5,00 pm. Building works !. my booking was not reflected from bookings.com on my arrival. Problem with noise from planes flying overhead from City Airport. Very noisy.I did not liked that there weren´t a person in the information all the time.. the place really need a resturant.
