As it is my regular drinking venue before and after watching football games at Upton Park, it was fitting to be able to stay over night at a very reasonable price. Sebastion was very helpful, as were maureen and mary at breakfast, well done excellent customer service.Cheap and cheerfull, great breakfast and polite staff. location. The hotel looks nice and the atmosphere is great. Nice staff and welcoming. For the time I spent in the hotel, this was a good choice. Close to the O2 Arena. bar. The Beds. The typical britischstyle en the location bij the stadion of football. The staff were very helpful. The pub atmosphere during the day was good. We had a warm welcome. It was a pretty calm place. We thought that we'd have problems sleeping with kareoke night and club night but there was no problem at all. It did not go on all night. It was warm in the room. Showers and toilets were clean. Situated very close to Westham United Stadium. Friendly staff. Just the staff. The outer appearance of the old pub is rather pleasant, however later replaced by a disregard of the guests' comfort. You were left to your own devices.People nice - breakfast good. Nothing really. Nothing, it was a dirty, manky pit that should be demolished. The only good thing was the proximity to the o2 arena!. It was close to the o2 arena where we needed to be. Nothing. I could not leave fast enough.close to a mini cab. Horrible and terrible experience,room was not clean,half of facilities you can't find in the room,previous customer's belongs left in the wardrobe.Customer service was also horrible.The location of the hotel was very near to the pick up point of Star Tour, for our guided tour to Europe. the pints at the only 2 pubs in the area. i didn't like how you could hear the music from the club from your bedroom. if you needed to get up early and need a good sleep then don't stay there. Map was misleading as it showed the 150 Barking Road that was in E16 not in E6.For the price charged, to get a room in london was incredible value, a little bit rough around the edges but good. got bunk bed instead of double requested but as we only wanted a room for the night caused no issues.bathroom. the english breakfast is not as good as i have before at some guesthouse. no holder for the shower head.Not enough breakfast on monday, no light in de bathroom, water on the floor of the shouwer en not cleam thouwels. If staying at the hotel on a weekend be aware that in one of the rooms downstairs there is a very loud nightclub that goes on until 3am. We were not informed about this until the bed started vibrating! No way could anyone sleep through that. No towels are provided, again we did not know this until we arrived.We booked a double room with tea cofee and microwave, etc. We got a large room with 3 sets of bunkbeds and a fridge, no kettle, etc! Not quite the romantic break we'd planned, but adequate and a good price. It's location - but not their fault!. The bed was the squeekiest bed Ive ever slept in. I would have liked to have a table or at least a bureau in the room. Girls working there were very nice and friendly but sometimes didn't understand English very well. We asked for clean towels on two occasions and never got them. Very poor neighbourhood, no toilet or shower at your own room.Room dirty and bare - little better than doss-house. No en-suite bathing or lavatory. Not clear on website that rooms over large pub in run down area. Unclean, old, uncomfortable rooms.hotel was NOT close to the Excel as described ,it was actually a 15-20 minute bus ride away , hotel had NO wardrobe or drawers in the room. Absolutely unsuitable accommodation for a facility described as a "hotel". Pub downstairs with a noisy night club programme late into the night actually interfering with the use of rooms upstairs.
Shabbines of the room also detracted from the aesthetic impression and comfort of the accommodation. The owner should consider the actual function of the facility or downgrade the aiming at hostel clientelle.Initial contact with the hotel was poor, the time for check in was stated 11am however we couldnot check in until after 12. We didn't actually check in until 2pm and at this time the rooms still were unavailable. The TV didnot work. A very basic room. Below one star i.e. Zero Star - very rough, nice people - good value - very hard to get to. Should come with a warning. This is a Hostel not a Hotel - re-clasify. Dirty toilets. Everything - will not be repeated. Too noisy at night, too far away from London City Airport, scruffy room,carpet sticky, water for tea/coffee only available in toilet/shower. Bed bottom collapsed. One shower was out of order; window was broken and wouldn't shut. Room was very narrow and spartan, carpet was dirty. Breakfast was basic and just about edible.I have video evidence if you want it. The room had no curtains, a smoke detector without the sensing head fitted, it was dirty throughout, the showers, toilets and bathrooms were a disgrace and none were ensuite. The bedding was suspect, the pillows were not the sort of thing any sane person would rest their heads on.The Full english breakfast was a joke. There are more items if you want to know??. It was very dirty. The windows did not shut properly. Very noisy. Unsafe, the outer door was not locked at 12am anyone could just walk in!. i did not like anything about this hotel,it was only picked as we aere on a budget and from now on i would rather pay a higher price to stay somewhere nicer and you do not have to leave and return by a back door. We had off milk in the room and was not very clean and very small,also the locks on the doors were terrible. Exremely loud rave music played until 3am Friday/Saturday 7th/8th November - I was not happy.smelly room. It was not clean at all.The room which I had stayed was not room but an attic and you can't find table in the room except side-table.I felt very uncomfortable in that room.It was not worthy the money which I paid at all.The Central hotel is not up-to-the mark vis-à-vis the tariff they charge. The shared toilets were not cleaned enough. There were seldom tissue rolls or soaps at the WCs. The rooms are not cleaned everyday (not done for a single day for our 3 + 3 days stay at the hotel). The environment is very lousy as the Pub at the downstairs remains open up till midnight. They didn’t even serve us breakfast for. As mentioned above in answers to question 2. The place was a hostel not hotel and I wouldn't recommend the area not even to the most experienced tourist in the world.The Hotel was dirty. Rooms not as in the picture. There was loose poisonand poison bnoxes in the bedrooms. Over all a very unpleasantexperience. The room was completly dirty - bed clothes, walls, windows. The offer wasnt conformity with the information in the internet.
