Its quiet, well positioned and good value - sarah

The position of the hotel on The Strand was brilliant for sight-seeing. Even though our room was at the front the shutter system meant we had virtually no noise or light at night, so we had a good nights sleep. The hotel was very clean and although we didn't eat there the facilities looked very good. - Katherine

I love the quality of the strand as soon as you walk in though its only3 star the service and sparkle of the hotel lifts your spirits. Hotel was perfectly situated to see all sights in London (without having to resort to the underground). Staff and room were great, didn't eat in the hotel but did have drink, bars were very relaxing. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit London, I'd definately stay again. - Russell

Staff were very friendly and always willing to help. The Doorman and Concierge staff were well informed with regards to bus and underground routes. With the ability to purchase tickets within the hotel more time was spent sight-seeing and not having to stand in queues at the stations. - Sheila

The Concierge services were excellent - it was really handy to be able to purchase a travelcard from the desk there. I found the fact that they had a luggage room for a minimal charge of £2 where luggage could be left from check out at 12 noon for the rest of the date if necessary. - Susan

Travelling information

By air: London Heathrow to the Strand Palace Hotel: from airport to hotel - 16 miles east. The easiest way to reach us is by using the Underground (Piccadilly line from Heathrow to Covent Garden). BY CAR: Take M4 heading into Central London - this then becomes A4. Stay on A4 and follow the signs for West End. After crossing Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar square, you will see Charing Cross Station on your right. 500 yards further on the left-hand side is the Strand Palace Hotel. NB. Remember that driving in Central London incurs a congestion charge at certain times. BY TRAIN: The nearest rail links are Charing Cross & Waterloo stations. Charing Cross is located on the Strand, a few hundred metres from the hotel. Waterloo is linked to Charing Cross Underground station by the Northern and Bakerloo lines.
