Fantastic location. Doesn't need to be self catering though, so much to do close by I only spent 4 hours in hotel. Day staff were very accommodating. At the end of the day, it's a student building for most of the term, It was quiet, clean with a great view over london ( the back view is the scene from the end of sky fall where James Bond is on the roof) I would happily stay here again. I would rate this a good place to stay if on a budget and you are more interested in London than . all reviews »
Huge room in an amazing location - not even a block from Trafalgur square! Everything close by and easily accessible. Laundry facility was available too and the beds were very comfortable. Probably the best value you could get in such an amazing location - we liked to get the metro out somewhere then walk back (for example we got the metro to Kings Cross station then walked back and did sight-seeing on the way).
Excellent location between Trafalgar Square and the Eye. Walking distance to everything! Also, the hop on hop off bus stopped in front of the hotel. It had a bathroom in the room. The price was really good for London. The staff was really Helpful and very very friendly!!! Oh the Sherlock Holmes Rest. And Bar was across the street. We will be back on our next trip.
Superb location. Lovely clean room, with a small ensuite WC and shower, just perfect for me on my own. If you consider that this is clean, compact student accommodation, you are going to love it. Staff on reception couldn't have been more helpful.
Access to very nice, spotless kitchen with tea, coffee, fridge and cooking facilities was a bonus.
Location was fantastic, 300m to Trafalgar Square and two of the tube lines.
A kitchen on every floor with full facilities multiple fridges and a freezer and small supermarket/convenience stores close by so we could have cheap but good meals or breakfast and then live it up at dinner.
Brilliant central location but the room was still very quiet. It had a
large comfortable bed, good shower and even a partial view. Very useful
to have kitchen facilities too. The staff were very friendly and
helpful. I will definitely recommend and hopefully book again.
Excellent location just next to the Trafalgar Square, well-equipped kitchen, spacious comfortable room, friendly staff. Free Wi-Fi and plasma TV are available in the common room. 24 hours reception and security.

Location is fantastic , room was basic, but had everything we needed, it was very quiet. This was my second stay. A tv would have been nice, but we came to see London, not sit in the room.

The hotel was very close to the centre you can go to the main atraction
by walk. It was clean. What you see in the description of the room is

The only poor thing was that the toilet / shower is a portaloo type unit. It has a door but is just very plasticky and hollow so don't expect any bathroom type privacy. The other occupants of your room will hear everything you do (if you get my meaning) .
The bathroom was tiny and smelt like smoke even though it was a no-smoking room. Couldn't get dressed in there it was so small! Also the double bed was two singles pushed together but that is to be expected when renting student dorms.
This is a London school of economics dorm like hotel. No A/C or TV in the room but the staff gave us a fan which was enough. There was a common room with a TV and free wiifii. The bathroom is really small but served its purpose.
A little bit noisy above my head, person walking around all hours of the night made ceiling creak v loudly (I was on 7th floor in a lovely quiet corridor, so this was a shame).
We knew this, but rooms were a bit small, we were hardly in it, we stayed 4 nights and that was getting close to the limit.

It was WAY overpriced. Like, the room was wonderful but it was an 8x10 room for $160USD. No way is a room that small worth that much! I guess you really are paying for location though.
Room did get very warm during the night and so opened window. I had resisted doing so because of the potential for noise vbut actually that turned out not to be a problem.

Having paid £90 for a twin room and £120 for a superior queen room I was s bit disgruntled to find that the twin room was twice the size! Also the heat in the superior room was unbearable at times compared to the twin room which was much cooler, having said that they would probably be perfect temperature for the winter months!.

The building is air-less. No A/C. WC & shower are a tiny closet-like affair with a step up. Not comfortable for older people. The beds are not hotel standard.
