The location was perfect to get around central London and has some really good bars and restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. A quiet location despite being in central London.

The room was pretty basic and fairly small, not a bad room, but ultimately forgettable.

Location. Just off High St Kensington and just around the corner to High St tube station.

We had booked a " Superior" room rather than a standard room. The room itself was small but would have sufficed but for the bathroom. You could not turn around in the bathroom without colliding with things because the bathroom was so tiny and narrow. We upgraded to an "executive" room at a cost of £30 extra per night .The "executive" room was excellent. The bar was expensive, did not serve any beer from the tap, all bottles. A 12.5%service charge was added to all drinks purchased.

Proximity to the tube We'll laid out but compact rooms

Paying for wi-Fi. If it was not for this I would book again. I can go to lots of equally good hotels and not pay for wi-Fi even when their room rates are cheaper. Shampoos and shower gels are not topped up during stay even if it is for 4 days. Don,t blame the staff, it is hotel policy. Same with sheets.

Stayed many times before but not since refurb completed..great location close to Ken High St station, buses to Knightsbridge & West End, all the shops, museums,amenities on the doorstep. So pleased at what they've done..impressive reception/bar area..rooms clean, quiet & space used well. Ideal base

Couldn't quite work out the lifts & kept going to where they used to be! One lift by entrance tucked around a corner but not big problem,(there are more!) long corridors & ..Can only think of reasons of stay there really.

We were asked for more money initially than my booking fee which had been confirmed and I had print out of. This was 'in case we had extras.' A maid knocked on our room door at 8 15 to allegedly check we were inside! The lifts were permanently full.

the whole hotel was beautiful in a good place (just round the corner from kensington high street) and free room upgrade wiflth free breakie was great

lifts are way too small end up waiting a lifetime. aircon made load noises all through the night

Hotel is completely refurbished and re-designed since I was last there a few years ago, and all good. Staff were very attentive and helpful.

Only one lift (that I could find) next to reception. Other lifts further back in the hotel found later. No ramp to and from reception to the main bar/dining area and room access. Double room was slightly tight on space.

Nicely presented hotel. Very clean. Good central location, a 2 minute walk from High St Ken tube station, and about 25 minutes to South Ken and the Natural History Museum etc.

Having to pay £9.95 for 24 hours of wifi access. Guys, it's 2013 and you're trying to be a posh hotel - charging for the internet makes you look mean and out of date.

Lovely friendly hotel, lots of curtious staff, in a very good location for us, near shops and tube and we can park our car at the hotel, excellent. Room very quiet at night didn't hear a soul.

Room was disappointing. Very small, cramped. Bath panel was showing signs of wear and traces of mould on the ceiling.

The neighbohood is quiet and full of facilities. Only in the room at the end of day to take a shower an sleep so a very good experience. Clean and basic room with comfortable bed.

The lift situation was a big issue, 1 lift at the front of house and 2 at the back meant waits of 10 minutes or more at times to get in the lift

Recently refurbished - much nicer decor than before - excellent location, friendly, helpful staff both downstairs and upstairs.

Tiny bathroom- fine for one but would have been very cramped if two people had been in room. Long walk to lifts and not very clear signposts how to get around the hotel which is very big.
