What people say
cool design felt beach-y, nostalgic, friendly staff, restaurant/bar offered cutting edge cocktails and dishes, super comfy bed with luxurious linens, rain shower, ample in-room supplies.
This is the 4th time we have stayed and love the Boutique style decor. Wonderfully comfy with quirky extra's (Cowshed products) and a brilliant rainforest shower.
cool rooms with awesome rain forest shower. Little extra's like all the cowshed products and luxury teabags and cookies. all reviews »
Fabulous bathrooms and products, and brilliant tea and coffee-making facilities. Reall comfortable and pretty rooms.
Very clean , very kind , very comfortable !!!.
Feel at home - easy and welcoming.
food, room, staff.
Everything.
All good.
The large comfortable double bed was very nice. The room was also of a good size. I would also say that the staff were all quite pleasant. The location is very good, but the presence on the street is so subtle that I had to go and find my girlfriend who had wondered past the place without seeing it.
The design is good and the reception were very welcoming.
Cool design and very rich hotel supply from lotion to shampoo, conditioner, etc.
Next door is a cool vintage furniture shop.
Bed, pillows and room generally.
Nothing - don't stay here ever, rude arrogant manager.
slightly overpriced (mostly because of converting from US$).
Cheaper rooms are on the 3rd floor which doesn't have lift access. Heavy bags difficult to get up there as girls in reception can't carry them either. Normally receptionists are extremely helpful and friendly - sadly this one seemed a bit bored.
The restaurant is actually not that brilliant. Food okay but service a little pressured.
Nothing.
Love this hotel - only thought is maybe rooms need a fresh coat of paint. That's all!.
parking, lack of mirror next to plug socket for drying hair.
Nothing.
Only comment would be that there is no decent mirror except the bathroom - and of course you can't use the hairdryer in there!.
Neither me or my girlfriend appreciated the rainforest shower, which would spit out water in every direction, spilling water over the top of the shower screen, hitting you before you even went in. Less of a rainforest shower - more of a tropical storm. Personally, I would have also liked to have had a decent sized mirror in the room.
Fridge in the room did not work - woke up to sour milk.
Rang for a glass of wine in my room, which took three attempts to get.
A friend and I decided to eat in the restaurant, but after being ignored for tens minutes we went elsewhere!.
Staff aloof. Leaking shower troubled sleep.
No curtains, light flooded room at 4am. A large bag of heavy and expensive shampoos was given to me, would have preferred breakfast.
The arrogant staff who wouldn't refund my booking, I tried calling
them within the cancellation period but their phone lines were down, a
fact admitted by their staff, the "Manager" then tells me even
if I got through I couldn't cancel the booking, they also take full
payment not a pre-authorization when booking a room, which makes me
think they do this so they don't have to refund, I would prefer to
sleep rough on the streets and this wannabe hotel. Don't stay here,
they rip you off.
