On arrival found I had been moved to Athena hotel just across the road and for whatever reason was put into a double room (booked a single), no complaints there. I thought hotel was good value for money and staff very pleasent and helpfull
The location was very handy - close to Paddington and to Lancaster Gate stations. The accommodation was good value and suited my needs; I was not on holiday but had family matters to attend to.Breakfast arrangement worked well.
The option of wholemeal bread at breakfast would have been nice - and healthier. The bedroom curtain was in need of some stitches and not working well.I did report this but nothing was done.Sewing ladies do not seem to exist any more! (A handyman came but it was not his line of activity.) Unfortunately it made the small room feel of a lower standard

It was a nice and small hotel with enough comfort and quite close to buses and underground.
For breakfast it would be nice to get som yogurt and also some cheese.
The receptionist was very helpful and changed our room quickly when we discovered the heater wasn't working.
First we were booked into a sister hotel and not informed until arrival.Breakfast was not as hot or service as good and hot drinks were luke warm at breakfast. Also no proper milk in room only powdered!!

guest especially 1st timer should be shown choice of rooms available within their budget before they move in.Guest may want to pay a bit more if they find the room is comfortable to stay.

The room was small-there were no place to sit, no elevator (I lived in the 4th floor), so if you have a large luggage climbing up seems to be a great challenge (stairs are very narrow). There were no lock in a door (!)-you got the key that allows you only to turn slightly and the doors were opened then - I understand that the staff is OK but I would not recommend to leave a laptop there.

Yes, that I stayed on the 4th floor. The hotel does not have a lift.
No room at the Gower so was moved to the Athena staff there were unfriendly and the room was very small, The only positive was its relative closeness to Central London.

It was pretty basic and poorly decorated

The curtons were verry dirty and the bathroom was verry small. The people who work do not know anythink and theu don't mind anbout the visiters. The only gif you your key. The television was broken.
The location and the nice staff only
small number of staff, the person cleaning the room is the same one serving breakfast, you have to help yourself with everything including the lugguage as nobody will do, the heating system was o.o.o during my stay so they brought me a seperate heating fan,the telephone was o.o.o,the tv remote control was o.o.o,hot water tab was broken,tea kittle was o.o.o. so i brought another one from reception.
The hotel was a disappointment from every respect, and we immediatelydecided to move to another one. I should though praise the kind lady atthe desk, Katya, who helped us find reasonable accommodation at theAthena Hotel across the street.
